I don't know where you live. You just have to search for private animal rescues or shelters, maybe a vet clinic or even the zoo. Give them a call and see what they say. Even if they say no, if you have alot of expereince working with pets they may take you. Give it a try!!

right here in Hawaii, they do enable 15 12 months olds to volunteer on the Humane Society, yet they are no longer paid (it somewhat is why they're referred to as volunteers). In maximum states the Animal administration shelters are run with the aid of the city/county government and so hire civil service workers who would desire to be a minimum of 18 y/o. probable your ultimate decision is to call the a number of shelters on your section and to make certain from them in case you may volunteer. then you definately've got some adventure working with animals and would get a paying interest extra unquestionably. I believe the different guy or woman who replied that working for a vet or with a place that boards pets is a sturdy place to begin once you have some adventure to artwork. yet additionally, in case you volunteer at a Humane Society, while they choose for somebody for a paid place you will understand while they must hire somebody and would probable get your application in first. for the reason that they'll understand you and which you artwork properly, you stand a extra ideal danger of having employed for a emptiness while they have one.

They're all different, but most have 16 years of age as a minimum for working directly with the animals. Some will let you come in with an adult, some will let you do fund-raising type things.
The Dumb Friends League in Denver has a youth volunteer program, one of the few I've seen:
