Hi Everyone,

For the last couple of weeks my heart has beat at 108 a minute while relaxing. I've also just been diagnosed with Ocular migranes (Migranes in the eye). I was wondering if there is a connection with the two of those and if I should get anything specific checked out.

Thanks
Deborah

Normal pulse rate should be around 60 to 80 beats per minute for an adult. 108 is a bit high especially when relaxing. so I would go get it checked out. If you exercise regularly this might cause your pulse to be more rapid but yes go get this checked out.

any heart rate over 100 is considered tachycardia, most people who smoke have tachycardia, most people that drink coffee have tachycardia, most people who do not exercise regularly are predisposed to tacycardia, and those who do not consume enough water in a day are also predisposed to tachycardia. because sometimes tachycardia raises blood pressure it could be responsible for your migraines, but I think the reverse is more likely true, that your migraines bring on the tachycardia, it is a common response to pain.

The first response was blood pressure, not heart rate.

Normal depends on your age.
