Because it clearly states Jesus is God:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God.
All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. "
John 1:1-3,14
"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy."
Colossians 1:15-18
"For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form..."
Colossians 2:9

People think Jesus created heaven because in the book of Colossians 1:15-16 from the NIV Bible it says "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible...all things were created by him and for him."
Jesus and God are one, John 10:29 KJV "I and my Father are one."
John14:6-10 NIV 'Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No ones comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." Phillip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us." Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Phillip, even after I have been among you such a a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father?' Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me..."
It's always better to go to the source and the Bible is the inspired word of God. Hope this helps.

Look at the very first chapter of the Gospel of John. The Book of Wisdom in the Old Testament also explains with who Christ is. Jesus is The Word. When God said "Let there be Light" He was using words: The Father willed Creation, The Son and Word known in human form as Jesus facilitated the action of the Father, and The Spirit carried out the actual act of Creating. But they all acted as Trinity and always have and always will.

Because the Bible also states that Jesus Christ created heaven and earth. Read Colossians 1:16 for starters.

I agree with people who have already answered your question. People don't read their bibles. And as far as the people who think that God and Jesus are the same person they are not. People if you read your bible it will tell you that Jesus is the son of God and that he was born to the virgin Mary. The best bible to use is the King James version of the bible. It will tell you everything correctly. Remember God created earth.

If you have read the Bible you would know that Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit are all One so, in turn Jesus did create the world, just as you could say God created the world, just as you could say the Holy Spirit created the world.

Jesus came as the Word of God in physical form. Everything God made (except man) he spoke into existance. His word's created the earth. But he used his hands and his own breath to create man. Thats why we're special to him.

Because Scripture goes on to teach us that Jesus and God are one in the same along with the person of the Holy Spirit. Most notably if you consider John 1:1-3, John's reference to "The Word" is reference to Jesus.

Jesus is God. and the Creed states
I believe in one God the Father almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the only-begotten, begotten of the Father before all ages, Light of Light, true God of true God, begotten, not made, of one essence with the Father, by whom all things were made.
Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven, and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and became man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven and sitteth at the right hand of the Father.
And He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead; of His kingdom there shall be no end.
And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of life, Who proceedeth from the Father, Who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified, Who spake by the prophets.
In one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church; I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins; I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the age to come. Amen.
