I own it. A good story is a good story. I'm watching it to be entertained, nothing more.

I've seen Chronicles of Narnia. I also enjoyed the soundtrack.

I didn't mind the religious references. I enjoyed the movie as a work of fiction. I was slightly put off by the simplicity of the lion and the blind obedience of the children (even Edward in the end), which made the film feel psychologically uninteresting.

I can't exactly put my finger on it, but the movie felt cliche and it lacked the same kind of complexity found in the Lord of the Rings, which didn't stick the main characters into simple black vs. white, good vs. evil roles (however evil their foe). In LOTR, some characters snapped, some changed, and all learned something.

In Chronicles of Narnia, though, it was as if the kids simply did what was expected from them, and even Edward returned to a simple rule book after his "sin" of talking to a woman with candy The only character who seemed interesting to me was the White Witch (some psychological depth by a great actress), Lucy (you can't screw up your role when you're six years old), and Mr. Tumnus (you couldn't find a hotter guy to play a fawn, and he had a book on his shelf called Man: Real or Myth? implying that he is skeptical of things without evidence for them, hehe). I wonder if the movie would have been better if directed by an independent and not produced for majority Christian audiences. The sentimental and moralizing tendency can kill an otherwise lavish film. Believe it or not, I actually enjoyed the end sequence of passion of the Christ. The movie was pure gore, but Gibson brought his individual directing to the screen. Narnia lacks that independent direction.

I actually liked the movie. But I watch movies for the entertainment value, not whether there is "religious content" or not. There is alot of "religious content" in Stephen King's movies/books too, and I still love him.

I saw it. I don't mind movies with religious references, but Narnia didn't make much sense.

I loved the books and I liked the movie. I find it entertaining - I don't use it to define my religious beliefs.

I watched it with the kids. Good movie. Of course it is fiction. Like a book I can think of right off the top of my head

I saw the movie, and have it in my DVD collection.

The religious stuff didn't bother me per se; but it seemed like kind of cheating the way Aslan oh-so-conveniently brought himself back to life. It would have been more impressive and dramatic if he really HAD given up his life for the kids and the kingdom.

The same could be said of the story of Jesus -- it's not really a sacrifice if you take it back three days later....

To be fair, I never noticed the religious refrences until someone told me they were there.

I still have trouble seeing most of them in all but the last book of the series.

Haven't watched. Haven't watched Harry Potter either.

Watched LOTR just because my brother's girlfriend brought the movies to my house (was surprised that I liked the series).

In general, I don't like fantasy-type movies. I don't really care if they have messages or not.

I haven't seen it because I've read a review that it was targetted towards children, and I thought "Lord of the Rings" was already quite juvenile.
