Butcher Block?

I would like to make my very own butcher block to go atop my counter. Does anyone know of a place that makes custom butcher blocks, or has instructions on how to make one so I can make it myself?

You can find designs and instructions online. Make sure you use hardwoods. A finish coat of mineral oil will make it look nice with no fear of of it going rancid like many other oils.

try to visit a lumber yard/mill and buy oak,beechnut wood
