I have received yet another violation of terms on this site for a valid answer, yet I only get it from R&S. So that tells me that the most close minded are on this particular section, yet the tenants of the people that are on this site are looking for ANSWERS-correct? So you would much rather report someone for a truthful answer and, if it doesn't match your beliefs, then you will hit them with a violation? Where is the freedom, religious people?

No the close minded people are in at least two more sections I know! In fact I have enough info now to expose people who grouped together and are doing Directed thumbing(up/down), reporting, voting etc. They even notify each other of new questions with stars...
I have to put a question about this..becaue I do not know what to do with this situation.
More later on rights as I asked also 2 weeks ago about rights and got that we have none.

You should appeal those abusive violations systematically dear, using the link included in the violation message.
Very often, the violation will be canceled and the abusive reporter influence will drop.

As much as I hate to admitted, Yahoo is within their rights to restrict what's say here. It's a private enterprise providing a free service, whether we like it or not. Besides, they are covering their asses, (can I say asses?) in case that any lunatic, (and you know as well as I, there's plenty in this forum), comes up with an incident by which they can be sued. Other reason is, that they won't spend any money to monitor these forums, they are "Knighting" us to monitor ourselves, noble idea, but the imbecile group that believes they are the "censoring police" will report every question that wont fit their stupid ideas, kind of "ABUSING" the "ABUSE". I'm with you in this one, unfortunately here, our inalienable right of "FREEDOM OF SPEECH" does worth a smidgen of excrement.

Freedom of speech is not an issue on a private network, which Yahoo!Answers is.
The U.S. government has not limited your speech here, it is the owners of the equipment.
Remember, we are _guests_ here on ANSWERS and as such, we should really mind our manners and conform to the rules.
If you have received an unfair violation, protest it with Y!A. They have reversed a couple of mine.

Because the 1st amendment does not apply to public websites ran by private businesses. I do believe it begins with "Congress shall make no law"....I don't see anything at all about Yahoo! Answers, do you?

If you'd like to 'protect freedom of speech' by all means, invest the time, money, and computing infrastructure in running your own answers site. Until then, their site, their rules - don't like it? Door's to your left!

You do not understand freedom of speech. Yahoo is not going to be forced to allow you to write whatever you want. Sorry, that is not going to happen. Yahoo also has freedom of speech. If the government stepped in and told Yahoo that it had to show whatever you wrote, then that would be the government violating freedom of speech.

I wonder why Yahoo doesn't want a wide breadth of answers, as well. I mean, why have a question and answer facility if you're only allowing answers which please everyone?

Yahoo is a big company and doesn't want to be sued. If this was some little operation the guy running it wouldn't give a rat's you know what if someone's nose was in a twist about an answer they didn't like.
all a person can do is keep on trying

It hasn't yet sunk in in some quarters that Freedom of Speech is more than just "I can say what I like".

There's also the bit about "Everyone else can say what they like, too". Sometimes they say nasty things, and that won't do at all.

who said we had rights anymore? it's just a historical document that people ignore. it's sad but true. we no longer have our rights. my rights disappear when i go to school.

people keep saying "congress shall make no law...." but it is the DUTY of the government to UPHOLD OUR UNALIENABLE RIGHTS that means that we get our rights NO MATTER WHAT. sadly people don't realize that.

Community guidelines. Learn 'em, love 'em, live 'em, and probably get burnt anyway by people who can't take a joke. It's Y! Answers. Who cares? I wander over here for a laugh every so often, and I'm never disappointed!
