I have just become an Apple person & now I am wondering about my apples.

I have had three apples that when I cut into them, around the seeds the pouch is black and fuzzy- almost looks moldy. Is this a Bad apple and needs to be thrown away? Or Why do some look like this and others not, does this mean its old?

Can Apples make you sick?

The black area is moldy, but you can cut it out and eat the rest of the apple. Rinse the apple after you cut out the mold. If you feel it's still not safe, throw it away--but usually it's fine.

I think that's a pretty suspicious looking apple and maybe it is bad..........Bad fruit of any kind could probably make you sick if you eat enough of it.
