Um, do you mean you disagree with the statement? Or that you disagree with all such generalizations?
Do you disagree that you can have faith?
Are you saying that you are not capable of having faith? If that is what you are saying, then I totally agree with you.
The Bible describes characteristics that all humans have in common. The Bible says that NO ONE is inherently capable of having faith in God. It is only when the Holy Spirit changes our hearts that we can have faith in God.
According to the generalization I listed above--no one can have faith without God giving it to him--you are SUPPOSED to disagree with this very statement! (Oh, the irony.) You are supposed to believe that you have all the power. If God has not given it to you, then you won't want to have faith that what God says in the BIble is true.
So, to answer your question, no one is capable of having faith.

Honey, I think you're missing the basic point. All people put their faith in something...all people choose to believe something without proof even in the face of evidence that clearly disproves the hypothesis.
For example, any person that has ever been involved in or witnessed an accident caused by someone running a red light knows that the hypothesis that "people always stop for red lights" is false. Knowing this, do they then refuse to believe that people will stop and find themselves unable to drive through any intersection that has vehicles approaching from the left or right? No, if they want to keep driving, they need to have some measure of faith that most people will stop (while remaining alert for signs that someone might not!).
You have faith in your knowledge of the world and even yourself in spite of knowing that you don't know everything. Clearly you, and every other human, is capable of putting faith in something. Perhaps God is a big stretch for you, but you certainly have the ability to choose what you believe...everyone does.

I do not presume to know you better than you do- however God knows all of us even better than we know ourselves, and because of that- He has given us a choice to choose Him or not- faith comes directly from Him- and we are each born with a void that can only be filled with Him. Faith is a gift from God that He is willing and able to give everyone. Reach out and take it- it is yours free- The people that tell you that you are capable of having faith, must not just say that, they must share openly and honestly with you that even the faith to believe is given to us by Jesus- so if we try and muster up faith, you are right, it will not happen. Jesus is "the author and finisher of our faith"-Think about this too- you have faith in something don't you? Yourself, someone else, the chair that you are going to sit on, will hold you etc- it is not faith that is really the problem it is the object of your faith. Email if you want to chat more

(a million) understanding and determining are 2 quite a few issues. in case you prefer to be a doubter and not a believer it is your decision. that is God's will which you be a believer... (2) i've got faith it grew to become into Noah's sons and daughter in-regulations that start up the repopulation of the earth. yet once you may have faith a huge bang no longer in basic terms populated the earth yet created all issues, why can no longer you have faith a 500 365 days previous guy ought to do it..? (3) i do no longer locate it confusing to have faith that there have been some who stay lived that long at that element on an earth void of each and every of the pollution that we've right this moment... (4) definite those cities have been destroyed with the aid of fact they have been completely corrupt and so grew to become into the full earth's inhabitants contained relating to the large flood. what's your element..? (5) Righteous and suited are 2 quite a few issues. pastime wasn't suited... (6) God did no longer kill pastime's little ones, although He did enable devil to realize this. yet understand this existence is barely non everlasting. eternal existence is what we prepare for in this existence. Do you believe without question that you will see the sun again tomorrow morning? Faith isn't necessarily limited to religion. And when you ask a question here, you get people's opinions. These are not solid facts. You're asking a question of anybody and everybody, and getting defensive when you get answers that don't agree with your personal vision. Rather than getting in a huff and fuming over it and posting angry questions in rebuttal, why don't you consider them with an open mind? If you still feel the need to reject them afterward, that's your deal. But there's no need to get all riled up over a question and answer website. Calm down.

We are strongest when we are at our weakest. Only when we reach a point of great stress do we discover how much resilience we truly have. You may feel you are handling a situation badly. Given the circumstances, though, you could be expected to fair far worse. Don't criticise yourself for alleged failings. Celebrate for doing so well in such an adverse climate. You are about to discover that a brave step has been far more successful than you dared hope.

Good ?, but I have to disagree. See, the Bible likens the strongest faith to that of a child. They are less skeptical and tend to believe what a grown up tells them without question, even if they have ZERO proof of fact. If you were ever a child who believed in Santa Claus, you can have faith.
Please, I am NOT trying to tell you whats right or wrong or how you are or even if you believed in Santa. I just think that logically, any human who can read or hear can have faith, if they choose to.

I can relate to that. I was unable to take the leap of faith and believe that God = Jesus. I wanted to because it would have made family relationships smoother, but I have a skeptical nature. So I turned instead to Nature for the "Word of God". Is not the painting the message of the painter? This path eventually led me to shamanism, which needs no faith at all. Seeing is believing.
Currently, I am researching shamanic connections with the bible to finding a path to mutual respect between those who believe blindly and those who look for themselves.

Not all religions are arrogant, i dont see the Dalai Llama as a conceited prick! Simply put, to say "everyone" is a STEREOTYPE, like (forgive me) all members of a certain minority are (fill in the blank). I guess in a way you;re CAPABLE, but thats like saying we're all capable of being millionaires, because of the lottery. Or all potential astronauts. I guess i rephrase.....we all have POTENTIAL, but what we do is OUR choice. dammit im too preachy, what was the question?

Its not presumption or arrogance...they are telling you what the Bible says, which is that God has dealt to each and every person...the measure of faith. Everyone has it. No one can say "God gave more to him or her...".
The difference is some people exercise their faith, some ignore it
God knows you better than you know you.
