i want to give my hair a messy look. i dont know if you would call it feathered or layered or whatever, but i want it. i have relativley short hair and was wondering how i could use layers or other tricks that i could suggest to my haircutter to give my hair a "just got out of the shower, or bed" look. i really dont know what to ask them or tell them to do.

you want it cut in a shag cut and you get it messy by putting gel on your hands and running all thru the short layers

um well you after you wash your hair, while your hair is wet/damp then put a messy part in your hair. (divide your hair messily) then your will have odd layers everywhere and i suggest using some hairspray to keep it messy, but don't use alot or it will look sticky. also if you scrunch your hair in your fingers while the hair spray is drying you can also achieve the messy bedhead look. hope you like!!
