No--there's not an atheist AA! But there are several organizations that don't require a belief in a higher power:
http://www.smartrecovery.org/
http://www.rational.org/
http://www.secularsobriety.org/
http://www.womenforsobriety.org/
And for those of you that say AA doesn't demand a belief in anything, I offer a quote from the Big Book (Page 44):
"To be doomed to an alcoholic death or to live on a spiritual basis are not always easy alternatives to face."
Sounds like a demand to me!

i'm worried approximately land stewardship, and approximately having sturdy, healthy grains to consume. yet given each and all of the initials of the communities stated, alongside with OMFG, i can't shake the sensation it rather is a satire. verify out the article lower back, and the initials used for the communities. Do you remember a working laptop or computing device hardware enterprise observed as NBI? Or the sound suggestion of shopper service lower back in those days: RTFM? Now you do not even get a instruction manual with maximum application.

I don't know any, sorry. But I can advise you just to be strong and believe in yourself. I stopped doing drugs a couple of years ago.
One thing that may help is staying away from your drinking buddies. If you're trying to stop and you keep hanging around them, the temptation to drink will be there. That's what I did. I cut off all my friends who I used to do drugs with. I've been off drugs for more than two years.

AA only works if you want it to, with or without the "religious" additives. The most successful are the ones who just make up their minds, put the bottle down and go "cold turkey".

The same goes for NA.
When the courts made me go to drug rehab I asked that too.
They said following the twelve steps was the only way yada yada but then later they said that only like some 11% who go through rehab don't ever relapse again
excuse me..

AA doesn't care if you choose a door knob for a higher power. You don't have to be a believer to get benefit from a twelve step program.

Your "higher power" can be anything. "For the greater good of mankind" if that suits you. Your higher power can be a panel of 5 people you admire and trust......not all that go are bible thumpers.....most, even if they believe in God feel he's pretty much done with them and it's an aspect of the program many struggle with.

You are mistaken, AA does not "demand" that.
Are you looking for excuses?
