I don't think I am the type that any girl is looking for. I think it's me really. I seem to do what a lot of boy/girlfriendless people do which is conjure up this imaginary being, and seem to use this as a benchmark. Often they are girls that I see on TV, which are of course fake roles played by actresses, but for some strange reason you buy into them and think that's what you're gonna get. What is ironic is that these characters are always going after these handsome hunks, which is a downer for me. Like that One Tree Hill. I have never seen such a huge abundance of attractive people in one show. It's probably a really shallow show too. But now I look at myself and seem to forget that I might never make the grade with any girl.

I hear what you're saying. Unfortunately when a woman says, "he's not my type", she means that he doesn't meet her standards for physical attractiveness.

Everyone wants to be with someone who is similar to themselves. The 'type' just manifests itself from that. There is something appealing and attractive about those 'types', but they are wholly individual to the person who created them. There is no 'type' that fits everyone.
Me, I love to play online games, so naturally, I wanted a boyfriend who would play World of Warcraft with me. I am dating a wonderful man - and he doesn't even own a computer, let alone have any interest in any type of video game. He didn't fit my 'type' in that regard, but our differences are also our strengths.
Have a little more confidence in yourself, and look for companions in the oddest of places - you never know who you'll encounter or who could be perfect for you.

Most people do have preferences on looks, I'm not sure why but almost everybody has a preference. Me for example absolutely have this thing for boys who get in trouble, gangsta, skateboarding type of guys. But you are some gir;s type of guy, don't worry about it!

Everyone has a type and there is someone out there for everybody, as long as you try and look for them. We have types because its what we see in that person that interests us.
Ex: i like short girls and some other guy might like blonde girls.

You have to have some kind of attractions to a person in order to be with them. Example: I like guys that are atleast 6'0 and weigh about 280lbs and musclar, and has to be hispanic. and that is totally opp. of how I look I am a short lil girl that is 5'1 and weight 140lbs and I am white. but hey thats what I like.
