a true christians mentality is hate the sin not the person. there is good in everyone, somwhere trust me. however non christian it is usually a lack of understanding and or exposure to the word of god.

I don't hate Christians. What I don't like is what SOME Christians do. Typically, these Christans are of the fundamentalist variety. They believe that since I am Pagan, that I worship Satan. They have quite negative ideas toward me, and refuse to listen to anything that contradicts their ideas toward me.
Too, I don't like the Christians who teach that Catholicism is evil.
I personally would never take advice from a Christian advice column. I'm not Christian, so natrually, an advice column based on Christian principles would not tend to resonate with me.
I don't believe that the Christian God created this world. We come from different points of vantage. Christianity, taken literally, is against me and my faith. The Christian Bible says that I should be put to death. Christians, over generations HAVE put people of my faith to death. The current President of the United States, a Christian, has spoken out against my faith. So, there tends to be a bit of distrust.
Personally though, I don't hate Christians. I just don't like some of what some of them say. I don't believe the entirety of the scripture that they use. I think Christ was wise, but no more god than can be any of us.
As long as Christians don't try to convert me, we can have a great relationship.
Blessings,
--Dee

It isn't even all Christians, mostly just the more extreme Fundamentalist Evangelicals. But many of us non-Christians have had bad experiences with some of the more pushy Evangelical Christians who want to "save us," or to convince us that our own beliefs are evil or wrong. And some Fundamentalist Evangelical Christians want to force their "morality" on the rest of the country through legislation -- gay rights, abortion, the right for a woman to have a birth control perscription filled, the right of a science teacher to teach SCIENCE. So, in these cases, non-Christians (and moderate, Liberal, or rational conservative Christians, along with us) need to fight back. So, it's not Christians or Christianity I hate. It is the pushy attitudes, intolerant actions, and theocratic agenda of certain Evangelical Fundamentalist Christians that I object to.

Yes that's right, all christians love homosexuals, Jews, pagans etc... which is why they treat them so nicely. Seriously, you must not know many christians. Have you ever heard of Jerry Falwell? OK he died... but I'm sure there's other people who are somewhat like him.
The truth is, I get along great with the christians I know in real life, and with a considerable number of those around here. Still you can have a serious difference of opinion. And a some (few, but around here they tend to be the loudest) that are so bigoted that I indeed dislike them. But hate... no. There's nobody around here I would actually wish any harm.

Its because Christians actually come from the Jewish Religion. Basically the Jews came in and took there land and started their nation. Thats the root of the hate.

I don't hate anyone, but I sure don't like being told I do.
"The Christians I've known and heard of are really nice people. All Christians want to do is help. "
Jim Jones. David Koresh. Tim McVeigh. Eric Rudolph.
There, now you're heard of Christians who killed people as part of their Christianity. No claiming otherwise anymore.

You haven't been on R&S long, have you?
We have jerks of all flavors, from Christian to Atheist. No group issume immune to having bad members. But making gross generalizations like "non-Christians hate Christians" is offensive and just begging for trouble.

Wow, you're really jaded / uninformed. I've never met ANYONE of another faith who hated Christians and I've done a lot of traveling.
And I've met a lot of Christians who are filled with hate and really only want to help themselves.
You should get out more.

I'm a non-christian and I do not hate Christians. That said, sometimes a well-placed knee or 9-iron is required.
