Is there anyone who has schizophrenia out there that would maybe be willing to talk to me about it for a school assignment? Or just maybe can tell me about it? Even if youve known someone who has it could you tell me about their experiances. thank y ou

Schizophrenia is not a single disease but a spectrum of disorders. In that assemblage there are all types and classes of people afflicted. I am a schizophrenia paranoid diagnosed over 40 years ago. I have been able to live a fairly normal life due to TLC and meds after the shock and trauma of the first few years. I don't seem to hallucinate any more.

I have a homeless nephew who is schizophrenic. He has been homeless now for 10 yrs or more. We have all tried to help him, but the laws say if he hasn't hurt someone he can't be institutionalized. He is hurting the whole family by living on the streets, we all worry over him. But he is happy with his way of life and sees no problem with it. He thinks its all normal to eat from dumpsters, and smoke cig. butts from the roadside. We all try to get a good meal in him when we see him on the street, but he is so far gone now he doesn't know who we are anymore. It's really very sad!!
