The way to grow and develop in the Christian life has everything to do on our spiritual diet. As believers we are told to do so many things in the word. There are certain expectations and requirements and even commands in the word. But how are these carried out? In our naturalness, in our strong will? In our own strength?
I say it comes from our eating and drinking of Christ. The more we partake of Him in the Word and are infused with Him, He is able to carry out all that God requires in us.
TO me the CHristian life is not something that we try to do outwardly, but it comes from the gradual growth and transformation and working of Christ in us as we daily nourish ourselves with Him. He is here to impart His life and nature to us as we open to Him.
Share on how your eating and drinking of Christ has gradually brought about changes in your growth and development in the Christian life.

Ty so much in advance

Ty for this post Sandy,

The Apostle Paul once said 'I die daily". In other words one must die daily to self. self is the root of all sin. One must look to Christ and not self. The Bible says "By beholding we become changed". Our focus must be on Christ daily. The Bible says "Give us this day our daily bread". We must feed on the word of God moment by moment and allow the rich treasures of his grace to fill our hearts. The flesh is at war against the spirit. The flesh never seeks the approval of God. Therefore it does not desire the things of God. The flesh seeks to dominate the spiritual nature. We will find ourselves yielding to one or the other. Our spiritual nature will grow stronger only as we feed on the word of God daily.

The Bible says in Romans 10:17 "Faith cometh by hearing and by hearing the word of God". Our faith in Christ gives us the victory over the flesh.

May we all continue to grow in his grace and in the knowlege of truth.

Once you get saved, it's for eternity.

Sanctification is what we go through in this life from that point on. It's never easy being a Christian.....but it's worth it.

It's definately a process for me.......constantly being fed by the Holy Spirit of God

have you ever wanted to "devour" the word of ADONAI?
to get so caught up in the scripture that you forget to
physically eat anything.( or have something to drink?).
sometimes i just get hungry for the word. and then there
is of course true communion, taking of the bread and
wine/juice both are equally important one can use the word
to shut off the world, but never to the point of forgetting
our duties to serve YESHUA.

The Christian life is about repentance (of sins), faith (in God), and obedience (to God's Word).
