I'm trying to find the religion that best worships God. I've been to baptist, non-denominational, methodist and pentocostal churches. Doing my own research, I find that none of these religions strictly follow the bible, so maybe I should follow my own. Also, it seems that catholicism has been around longer so I figured this is a good one but why do they believe in Mary and Saints and worship them more?

The one that calls to you. No one can tell you what to believe...nor should they. No one but you has to live with your choice of faith or lack of faith. You're the one that has to face your eminant judgement, however you see it, in the end. Don't let your faith be swayed by anyone else.

It's good that you are trusting the Bible. It would be helpful in answering your question to have examples of what parts the churches aren't following the Bible.

All of the denominations you listed believe in the Bible as the word of God and follow it the best they know. They all agree on the major points of Christianity. Examples of major doctrines are how to be saved from sin and go to Heaven, and that Jesus is part of the trinity. There are churches that do not believe these major important points, so make sure you know what the Bible says on these and make sure to avoid those.

There are minor things that are hard to interpret and so they are different on minor things. Examples of this are the methods of being baptized, or if people still have the gift of tongues or not. Don't get me wrong - these are quite important things, but not as important as salvation and having a relationship with God.

My guess is that the minor things are what you disagree with? I've attended all of those denominations and I'm fine worshiping with them. Many churches have belief statements that have the major points of what they believe. You might search some websites and pick the one that is closest to what you see in the Bible.

A previous poster is correct. Free Methodist is different than Methodist. There are several branches of Baptist and other churches as well.

A lot of colleges offer courses in world religions. Maybe you could attend the class and get a non-biased description of the various religions and what they practice. Or attend services at different religious places and see where you feel most comfortable.

There is a lot of theolgical explanation - 2000 years of it - behind catholic doctrine. They hold RCIA classes at local parishes to help answer these questions, sound slike you may want to look into attending.

The main teaching to test for the Catholic Church is whether you believe the Pope, Cardinals, and Bishops and the Roman Catholic Church itself receives the authority of God. Specifically, that the Pope receives divine authority by apostolic succession and that the leadership is infallible when they speak for the purpose of teaching doctrine.

If this bothers you, and the doctrines about Mary and the Saints, you might look at the Episcopal Church USA.

Hi,

Islam is the best and favorite religion of Allah (SWT) the creator of mankind

Just study about Islam and I am sure you will really get the answers of all questions you have in your mind.
Islam is the religion which was given to Adam, the first man and the first prophet of Allah, and it was the religion of all the prophets sent by Allah to mankind. The name of God's religion Islam was not decided upon by later generations of man. It was chosen by Allah Himself and clearly mentioned in His final revelation to man. In the final book of divine revelation, the Quran, Allah states the following:
"This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion". (Soorah Al-Maa'idah 5:3)

"If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah (God) never will It be accepted of Him" (Soorah Aal'imraan 3:85)

"Abraham was not a Jew nor Christian; but an upright Muslim." (Soorah Aal'imraan 3:67)

"And behold Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary Did you say to men, Worship me and my mother as gods besides Allah He will say-

"Glory to you I could never say what I had no right (to say')" (Soorah Al-Maa'idah- 5:116)
Nor did he worship himself when he worshipped but rather he worshipped Allah. This basic principle is enshrined in the opening chapter of the Qur'aan, known as Soorah Al-Faatihah, verse 4:
"You alone do we worship and from you alone do we seek help".
Elsewhere, in the final book of revelation, the Qur'aan, Allah also said:

"And your Lord says:"Call on Me and I will answer your(prayer)."(Soorsh Mu'min 40:60)

There is no one in all of History whose relationship with God is as complex, fulfilled, and achingly beautiful as Mary's. She is not only the greatest of Saints, she is our Mother, as Jesus is our Brother and Savior. In honoring her, we honor Him -- and imitate Him, as we are admonished to both honor our parents and imitate Christ, Who loved His Mother. Our relationship with Mary is that of a child to a blessed Mother who was given to us as Jesus gave her to John at the Cross. She is our spiritual Mother

1. Catholics don't worship Mary or the saints.
2. Doesn't it say something to you that it is so UNCLEAR which is the TRUE religion? Don't you think that if God existed, there would be NO QUESTION as to how and who you worship?

Check out Jehovah's Witnesses if you're concerned about living strictly by the Bible. They're rather meticulous about it.
