I agree with jo jo. Best place to park is at West Jesmond or Ilford Road Metros, as there are no restrictions for parking. A return ticket will cost you no more than £2.60, much less than parking all day in town.

well depending on the day it is if you get there early enough you could park along pottery lane. a lot of people use it so they don't have to pay the bloody extortionate parking chages Newcastle council charge us. It is situated next to the arena, and comes out on the bank which runs down to the New Quayside Developement. But If it is during the week, get there earlier as The office types will pip you too the post. If you require a legitimate parking space there is a multi story car park not far from the arena, but i couldn't tell you the charge for a 10 hour stint............ Lee

Your best bet is to park near a Metro Station outside the City Centre and ride the metro into Central Station and walk round.
The price of a return ticket will be cheaper then paying parking fees.

I went to see Fleetwood Mac and parked in the multi storey car park near the arena, when I came out it was so busy and I hit one of the sides going down the slopes in the multi storey which are really narrow. I'd just find a car park near and walk along theres plenty of them. If its a Saturday its pretty busy but go a bit earier and you'll get parked.
