Can rear operated mobile speed camera vans only capture the speeds of oncoming traffic?

I have only ever seen these devices with the rear door facing on-coming traffic. Can they capture traffic moving away from them?

Oh yes they can, there was a motorcyclist that got caught and that was moving away from the van. I think he was caught doing the highest recorded speed on a A road. The answer is yes

in the day time yes not at night cozyour head lamps hide your number plate that's why at night they take your number plate from the back as the lights only light your number plate up not blur it out
