The parabal of the man that sows seed on stony ground and fertile ground; and the parabal about the wise man that builds a house on rock and the fool that builds a house on sand.

The seed is the word of God, but it was sown by Jesus; Matt 13:37. Satan came along and twisted the word into all the false doctrines which exist even today.

The rock upon which Jesus built his church is himself, through spiritual revelation; 1 Corinthians 3:11, "For other foundation can NO MAN lay than that is laid, WHICH IS JESUS CHRIST". This is the rock upon which Peter was built; "flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, BUT MY FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN".

There are those who claim to be built upon Peter, a man, and this is the sinking sand. The gates of hell can prevail against man.

The sowing of seeds on the stony ground is symbolic of the Word of God being taught to people who don't care. When the seeds fall on the fertile ground, it represents the Word of God being taken to heart by someone. In the second parable, the foolish man builds his life around the things of this world-which will eventually crumble; the wise man builds his life around Jesus Christ, who will never fail us.

The seed is the word, the ground is ones heart. Good ground produces fruit. The stony ground chokes the word and no fruit is given.

The first parable is for those people who think that the fight is over the day they get saved. This is when the battle for your soul actually begins. There is a war going on for your soul if you hear the word and believe. If you "just say that little prayer" you had better keep saying it.

"Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown." Rev 3:11

the second parable is for people who let false doctrine creep in, which the world is full of. Jesus is the rock foundation. If one doesn't understand his word and doesn't keep his gospel as he gave them, ones spiritual house is built on sand.

Well, there is really no difference in these two parables, because they are not in relation one to another. They are two separate parables with separate analogies and meanings.

While it can go deep with either, the common applications are: (first one) the sower is us, the seed is the word of God, and the grounds are different types of people. (second one) the men who build are 2 types of Christians, the house is our foundation of living for God, the sand is anything from the empty promises of this world, to riches, to whatever is not from God that will remain, and the rock is Christ.

the man who sows seed on stony and fertile ground will reap the benefits and eat and will prosper /were as " wise" man will build his house on rocks which will rock and come crumbling down and builds his house on sand which will sink into oblivion will not eat but his house will be dug up generations to come and they will wonder ....why ....could it be they used the man who sowed the seed and used his expertise to prosper ......just a thought

Both parables are meant to connect us to the importance of our spiritual roots. If seed is not planted in fertile soil the seed will not grow roots and produce. If a house is not built on a solid foundation it will not hold up. If the faith you chose is not planted in good soil or built upon a solid foundation it will not grow and provide the the inner strength that real faith provides.

The sower is sowing the word of God....
The ground is the hearts of men.....
fowls , others take it away from them.
some stony/no concern and or root
some with thorns that choked it
but those on good gound recieved Christ and His Words
bought forth 100 fold / 60/ 30......etc...

The man with the house he built on the Rock is man that Builds His on CHrist

The one who builds on the sand is man who refuses Gods Word..........

The man on the rock when the storms of life come..doesnt move cause its founded on the Rock ( which is Jesus Christ)

The man on the sand is him who refuses to stand on Jesus Christ his house is on his denomination or himself or a person or unbelief or money or possessions..........and when the storms of life comes..his house falls and is destoyed...for it was nt founded on Christ Jesus ( the Rock )

The 1st parable tells about what happens as the word is spread throughout the world.

The 2nd is a warning for us once we have recieved the word and a guideline as to what we are to do with it.

They ultimately point to the same thing:

Christ as the foundation for salvation

Fertile ground - All born again Christians
Stony ground - Never saved to begin with
House on the rock - Strong foundation.....born again for sure
House on sand - Again....no saving faith to begin with

I think that it is telling people not to be stupid, not to do the foolish options is obvious. Forget the religious aspect of it, if whoever said or wrote it was trying to get a message across, then he must have been talking to some really thick people.
