my dogs are 7 and 14. both are super playful, when they want to be. the 7 year old is playing most of the time, the 14 year old plays for about 5 minutes then naps for 4 hours!

here is a great site to measure your dog's age in human years.

i have a rottie/shepherd mix-5, pit-3 1/2, husky 2 1/2, yorkie 1. my dogs are all playful and busy guys. sometimes i have to remind them to settle down when they get in the house or to be a little more gentle with the yorkie when they play around. my husky sometimes bats around the yorkie like he's a soccer ball but he keeps comin back for more.

my neighbors' have a rottie/shepherd mix-8 and a cocker spaniel/poodle mix 12 and they both are playful and full of energy though understandly tire out a lot faster than my boys do

it really depends on the breed and size but puppy is usually birth-2 adult 1-7 elder 8+

I have 3 dogs. Hope is 6 almost seven and she isn't as playful as she was. Faith is 4 almost 5 and she is so hyper, but that could be the Jack Russel in her. Sydney is 5 almost 6 and she can be very playful at times, she loves to play ball.

My dog is 13 years old. She isn't playful at all! lol She pretty much sleeps all the time. She is also starting to go deaf, which is really hard on me. It's tough to watch your pet get old. She has the greatest personality though, and pretty much everyone that comes in contact with her, falls in love with her.

2 pits: one 1, on 3.
both EXTREMELY playfull. the one year acts like a puppy still bc well she kind of is. the 3 yrs old acts like a puppy also but I think it's because he is a rescue that was attempted to be starved to death when 6 months old and had a chain inbedded in his neck..he didnt really get to enjoy his puppyhood, so now that he is healthy and loved I think he's living it up to the max!!!
why do you ask?
