how do i get rid of the smell in chitlins (Chitterlings)?

If you can turn them inside out and scrape them, it's a lot of work. I would guess scraping eliminates about 60% of the smell.

Why in the world do you want to eat pig intestines? That's disgusting. You do know that is where pig feces passes through don't you?

Is it any wonder that they smell so bad? Besides that, it's pure fat and bacteria.. Ewww..

Clean them the best you can, you can't really get rid of the smell ....... even after they are cooked, when you re-heat them, they still smell. I love them tho!
