Did God himself, through the apostle Paul, not predict you atheists and evolutionists, 2000 years ago?
Read 2 Timothy 4:3-4
And of course He had something to say for those of us who do believe as well, 2 Timothy 4:6-8. Is that awesome! or what?

We've obviously felt it in our hearts and in our lives. But as the Lord says, people are stiffnecked. Some people will never get it through their thick skulls and continue to live a dull, uneventful life. Hey, more for us when the time comes! and it's weird because my life right now is pretty good as it is. I can only imagine what else the Lord has in store for us.

Of course Saul, I mean Paul predicted atheists and evolutionists when he and his buddies came up with the new and improved Jewish cult called Christianity. It's inevitable, through study and examination of nature, that some will doubt the existence of a creator and ask questions. The bible also claims that the world was created in 6 days and god rested on the 7th (was the almighty tired and needed a nap?) and that the universe is now 5,768 years old.

Through the use of carbon dating, the Hubble Space Telescope and other scientifically accepted methods, scientists have determined the universe to be about 13.7 billion years old. We've found human remains that are nearly 200,000 years old and dinosaur bones from 65 million years ago.

Religion's answer, of course, is that carbon dating is accurate, but only back to the time of the great flood of Noah, because the flood waters that covered the entire planet (another scientifically proven falsehood) altered the decay rate, so any carbon dating older than that is unreliable.

OK, fine, then how do you resolve the fact that rocks that we've brought back from the moon, and those examined by the Mars rovers, Spirit and Opportunity, date back to some four billion years? Did Noah's flood, here on Earth, also affect the rocks on the moon and Mars? How do you explain the fossil shelves that, even without the use of carbon dating, clearly show the bottom layers containing only single-celled life evolving into more and more complex life forms as the shelf rises towards today? How is it possible that we can see the light of a galaxy 13 billion light years away, if the universe is only 6,000 years old, when it takes 13 billion years for the light to reach us? Did god "poof" the light there just for us?

Imagine, if you will, all people on this earth retaining our current knowledge of science, but no concept of religion. One day, someone says that everything we know was created by a supernatural being, which we cannot see, hear, touch or smell, who "always was, is and will be", with no explanation as to where this god came from. This person would be the laughing stock and locked up in an insane asylum.

How is that scenario different from the 90% of the population today who believe in some sort of supernatural creator? the answer is simple. The only reason religion is so prevalent today is because that's what we were told to do by our parents. They believed, so we had no choice, as children, but to follow their ways. Only about 10% of us have the open-mindedness, as adults, to NOT follow blindly, but rather ask questions and believe in facts instead of mysticism.

Evolution answers the questions religion is afraid to ask. It all fits together like a jigsaw puzzle. The meaning of life is to live, this life, not the next, imagined one. In ancient times people didn't know why death happened and were frightened of the concept, so they invented an afterlife, a place people can "pass on" to, instead of just dying, which also meant that there must be some super power in control.

There used to be a time when the Catholic Church insisted that the universe revolved around the Earth and murdered anyone who believed otherwise. This is a loving and forgiving god? Enough killing in the name of a fictional god, made in man's image.

Who are you to question why your god doesn't want me to believe in him?

No. It is stating the bleeding obvious.

When Paul was corrupting the message of Jesus there were very few Christians around. And those that were would have disagreed with his 'interpretation' of the message.

This is nothing but a "I'm right because God told me so, don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise." statement. For some reason most religions seem to have a few of these scattered around inside them.

Feeling something in your heart is not proof, it is an emotion. Or maybe heartburn. Anybody can write anything and say it is the word of God. Today if somebody did that, they would end up in the Looney Bin.

So because a guy who made ridiculous claims also made sure to say that people wouldn't believe him and would 'scoff' at him, that makes him completely infallible?

Do you not see the mis-steps in logic there?

Wow.

So if I claimed that a cosmic Jewish zombie required telepathic assurances of everyone's subservience and would destroy the world, then predicted that people would scoff at me for my claims, I would be a great prophet too?!?

Amazing!

if i hear 'god is love' or anything else love or eternal life related i think i might cry......any love i offer to someone i can see, hear, touch or converse with is love that my mother father or other relatives aren't geting. as for eternal life......well there wouldn't be death if there were eternal life so i'm going to spend whatever love my heart can hold on those i'm close to in this world, whatever happens after death.

Wait? The Bible says that some people will believe and others won't? Well, can't argue with that logic.

You have to feel it in your heart, not believe because you read it in a book.
