We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.
We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated ccorrectly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
We believe in the literal agathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

For a start....

Because Mormons are Christian, we believe in most of the things that Christians believe, including:

1) Christ is divine and salvation comes only through Him.
2) The Bible is the word of God.
3) Men ought to love one another.

Mormons are a unique branch of Christianity, however. We are neither Catholic nor Protestant, so naturally we have some different beliefs. Most of the differences are minor. One significant difference has to do with the authority to act in God's name. Mormons believe that soon after the death of Christ and His apostles, the early Christian Church was greatly influenced by Greek and Roman philosophies and political pressures. Despite the efforts of many good men and women, the true Church of Christ was eventually lost because of these outside pressures and internal, man-made changes. Mormons believe that God reestablished the original Church of Christ in 1820 through a man named Joseph Smith.

God lives. He still communicates to his children. He loves us and wants to follow the Savior, Jesus Christ. He has given us the gift of the Holy Ghost to teach us and confirm the truth of all things.

The Church the way it was organized by Christ apostatized and strayed from His teachings over the centuries. It was restored to the earth with priesthood keys and prophets to lead us.

Through the ordinances of the Gospel we may return to live with Heavenly Father. Through sacred temple ordinances we can redeem our ancestors who never had the opportunity to accept the Gospel. We may be sealed together in eternal families.

We believe in doing good.

Well we have the 13 articles of faith which tell you the basics of our gospel...

Well...someone who cares got there first...

--------------

We believe that the true church, and the priesthood, have been restored on the earth, through the prophet Joseph Smith.

We also believe that there is a living prophet on the world today, Gordon B. Hinckley, and when he dies, another prophet will be called to receive God's words...

If you have any specific questions, or want to ask me about anything I, or others, have said. Don't be afraid to email me.

The Articles of Faith cover it nicely, but I also want to correct Cujo's answer.

Mormons believe that they can become equal to God, even though He said many times in Isaiah:

We don't believe that we will become equal to God. That is a Decker invention!

Whether you want them or not, you're going to get answers from people who think they know what we believe. Someone already quoted the 13 articles of faith, which are an excellent reference for our basic beliefs. In a nutshell, we believe that God is our father, His son Jesus Christ is our savior, and that we have a living prophet on the Earth today.

Joesph Smith restored the so-called true gospel to the earth through revelation.

What is telling about the LDS is what they are NOT telling. They cite their 13 articles of faith repeatedly but fail to ever mention their CORE beliefs such as their temple works, baptism for the dead, Celestial Marriage, Celestial marriage for the dead, the 1st Presidency and other doctrines. They try to come off as being a mainstream Protestant like church but their core beliefs... the beliefs most important to them, they seem to hide until you are already hooked. Their core beliefs are utterly absent from the Book of Mormon and are even taught AGAINST by that book. I'm sure I will get a dozen thumbs down from them for that little gem of truth.
