It gives you the ability to choose to do right or wrong. We should always do right because it's the right thing to do. ( W. Clement Stone)
Freewill allows you to decide. If you choose wrong you pay the I did wrong price. If you do right you pay the I did right price.
It's up to you.
I love it .I will to sleep til afternoon, I will to eat what I want when I want, I will to have a gorgeous wife and I will that all in my house follow the Lord.
And it's free. God gave it to me.

First , free will does not necessarily mean you can do what you want w/o payback. We all must accept the results of our actions.
Second , free will is the only thing that makes real love possible .
Third , how much free will should a person have ? That should depend on how well a person handles it.

I don't think there really IS free will.
If God has everything planned, our decisions are already made for us. He knows how it ends, and how it will happen.
Doesn't sound like free will to me?
My friends think that possibly it's our own choice on how to get to the end but he knows where we'll end up. Not sure if that's biblical but I don't think the words "free will" are in the bible either. God has hardened peoples hearts in the bible for his purpose so it's hard to understand how we really have free will when He can do that.

It's great.
It gives a person the option of choosing:
vanilla
chocolate
or strawberry ice cream
or all three.
It gives a person the option of going to a junior college in one town, a university in another town, and a graduate university in still another town.
It gives a person the option of giving money for a foreign mission in:
Africa
South America
India
or all three.

Absolutely free will....choose the way you want to go....As scripture says.."Choose this day whom you will serve.". Of course your decision will cost you and maybe your eternal life....
Let's say I give you a car and say "Drive it like you want"......I give you freedom with that car.....You decide to drive that car 200 miles an hour .and crashed and was killed..... It was your decision..and look what happened with your decision...
If you choose to live a life of "Let the devil take tomorrow" and all you want out of this life is fleshly pleasure,.....and oppose all the things you have to be to enter heaven,,,that is your choice....
God won't take that from you but he has warned you that won't get you a ticket to heaven for eternity.opposing his rules to enter his Kingdom.....
So what means the most to you....this life or the next one?....

As a boat on the sea, free will is the rudder. The wind is opportunity. The currents are circumstance.

Who is it that has the free will? If it is us/me/you then is not the free will a part of the us/me/you that has it? If the free will is something you have in your mind, is that not YOU? So, Free Will has free will? Doesn't make any sense. Free will you say?

John 1:12-13, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:::Which were born, not of blood, nor of the WILL OF THE FLESH, nor of THE WILL OF MAN, but of God".
How did they "receive" him? John 3:27, "...A man can RECEIVE nothing, except it be given him from heaven".
They, as children of God, were given the POWER to become sons of God. This power is the Holy Spirit through which we grow from being babes in Christ into men of God, thoroughly furnished unto every good work; 2nd Tim 3:17.
Heb 5:12-14, tells us that like babes can only partake of milk, so are those who are "unskilful in the word of righteousness:...But strong meat belongeth to them that are of FULL AGE, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil".
Colossians 2:20-23, "Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, WHY, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,...after the doctrines OF MEN? Which things have indeed a SHEW of wisdom in WILL WORSHIP, and humility, and neglecting of the body; NOT IN ANY HONOUR TO THE SATISFYING OF THE FLESH".
Isa 43:10, "Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant WHOM I HAVE CHOSEN: THAT YE MAY KNOW AND BELIEVE ME, AND UNDERSTAND THAT I AM HE".
(13), "Yea, Before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I WILL WORK, AND WHO SHALL LET IT?"
EDIT: Swindled, free will is what makes love possible?? Don't you know that God is Love, and 1st John 4:10, says, "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us". (19) "We love him, BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED US".

Like a death row condemned man in prison, free to breath, free not to breath, free to eat, free not to eat, free to drink, free not to drink..............
BUT NOT FREE TO SAVE HIMSELF, UNLESS THE KING OF THE LAND VISITS HIM, AND BY THE GRACE OF THE KING, HE MAY BE RELEASED FROM HIS PENALTY
