Most witches hold Pagan beliefs, which I do. However most Pagans are not Witches.
Blessed Be.

Put some trust in them :)
Devout Christian does not mean that they have to hate you for your beliefs or even have to try and change you, if they are truly your friends they will love you for who you are :)
You may even find they already know or aren't that bothered by it, after all if you have been doing it for a year your family might have seen some clues.
Loving someone simply for their religious beliefs is like loving someone because they have a certain job, it affects them but does not define them.
As for the best way of letting them know, I would not make such a big deal out of it, simply continue on about your practice (without hiding anything) and let them find out on their own.

When I was younger I went through this with my parents... and later with other family members. I just brought up the subject one day to my mom and told her that I'm Pagan. Both of my parents took it very well. The only person I really had trouble out of over it was one of my dad's brothers, who came very close to getting into a fist fight with my father over it lol To make a long story short, everyone was alright with it, but my uncle disowned me... which is fine. I don't care to be around a lying drunk anyway ;-)

First off.....Make sure that you really want the truth and their honesty about your choice to change. Make sure you are willing to risk the possibility of being at the receiving end of antagonism, hostility, and ignorance.
Make sure you are prepared for a myriad of questions. They will have questions for you.
Explain, without being mean, why you chose to change paths. Explain what you have found within your current path and how this has helped you spiritually, etc.
If you can approach it without becoming too emotional it should go a bit smoother.
Some parents are okay with finding out, others are not.
Good Luck.

Take some advice from athletic shoe ads and Just Do It.
Seriously. Come right out of the broom closet and tell them, "Family, this is what I believe." If you're serious about it, I don't think it will be as bad as it feels like it's gonna be - it wasn't for me, anyway.

You don't need to tell anyone anything. No one really walks around his friends and tells them what religion he has. Don't say anything unless they ask you. I am not sure if being a witch is a religion so be prepared for laughter or more questions when they ask you.

Just make sure you don't bash their beliefs when you tell them.
Tell them and explain why you made that decision. It's okay to have different beliefs. I'm agnostic and raised Catholic. I just told them it's not for me and this is why.
Also talk to your closest friends/family first. If you get their backing the rest will follow.

I can't remember how I told my parents. I think I just sort of did. "Hey guess what I found? It's really cool and it makes me happy...."
They are cool with it. Not that they have a choice. My sister and her husband are Asatru too. LOL

Try honesty and truthfulness. If they are true friends and family they should allow you to think as you want. If they can't then they have a problem.

Do you have a schedule of when to run this question? You keep asking it over and over.
