absolutely not! There was SOMETHING there to attract you to her in the first place. That's how all people get started, so to me, you aren't falling for a stranger. You're falling for the person you're getting to know. I wish you all the luck and happiness in the world!!!

Actually I would call it infatuation, not love...
Infatuation is having an interest in another person after knowing the "obvious" positive traits of that other person. This can be physical appearance, kindness, skills, intelligence, etc.
Love is to still have a continuous fondness in another person after knowing everything below:
1. Obvious positive traits
2. Not so obvious positive traits
3. Obvious bad traits
4. Not so obvious bad traits
Unless you have maintained a relationship with the other person for some time as lovers or friends, there is no way you can find out #2 and #4 above. So, there is no way you can have love at a first sight. But you can certainly have an infatuation at a first sight.
Now... for your situation... I don't think it's strange to fall (to be infatuated) with a stranger. That happens all the time. This kind of feeling is something that you can hardly control. You can't honestly tell yourself that you dislike a certain someone when you actually like her very much. So, if your friends call you nuts, I say they are inconsiderate or maybe they just want to tease you.
By the way, writing is another form of communication that can get you to know the other person better, granted it's not as effective as direct talking or even talking over the phone since writing is not spontaneous. Direct talking allows both of you to be spontaneous and helps prevent "faking" yourself. It also allows you to read each other's expression. So, try to have a direct talking as much as possible before you are totally commited to her.

No, I don't think so at all. The first time I saw my now fiancee, I knew right then. He wasn't the type of guy I ever went for. But I just knew. Now of coarse we didn't end up together right of way. It took about 2 yrs before we got serious. Now we are engaged, and getting married in Fall 2009.
So if you believe, then that is all that matters.

It's probably easier, not nuts, to fall for a stranger! As you said, a "perfect stranger," who's perfect because you don't know about all her flaws yet. Hey, something wonderful might happen, so I would give it a shot. Best wishes!

Absolutely not. You can't control attraction. It sounds like the two of you just clicked. You're not crazy, just in the right place at the right time. Embrace the feeling and run with it. As long as it's not stopping you from anything else in your life, there's nothing crazy about it.

I don't think your nuts at all. If you have found someone that has captured you then continue to find out more about her. Don't let your friends interfere with what you feel is in your heart. So what if they think it's crazy....it's your life. If this girl still communicates with you then maybe she is feeling like you are....maybe she thinks about you like you think of her. All you can do is try and see if this can go somewhere...otherwise you may never know.....good luck to you!!!!!!
