and if global warming causes the Earth to cool down, how do we know when we fixed the problem?

"Global Warming" experts will tell you that global warming is responsible for everything from warmth to cold, droughts and floods, hurricanes and lack of hurricanes, hell, I've even seen believers say that earthquakes are caused by "global warming".

No matter what happens, man is going to be blamed for what ever problem is occurring at the time. And since everything is going to be blamed on "man made global warming", it will NEVER be resolved and so called "scientist" will always demand more money to "study" the problem.

It's the perfect scam.

Exactly.

The problem won't be fixed because there are people who have a vested interest in man made global warming.

The EPA is a stakeholder in the global warming debate, so are the scientist.

The following source is used to illustrate the amount of money the gov't has to control the environment and "enhance science and research."

It's no longer called "global warming". It's called "Climate Change" as a hedge against the possibility that the earth actually does get colder for a few years. The coldening can then be blamed on industry. In the meantime, just accept that every drought, flood and variation from the average temperature on a given day is America's fault.

While the IPCC claims 2500 scientist's agree about anthromonkey Global warming their is apperently no such "consensus" as to what will actually happen when GW befalls us.
