Hello guys,
i hope ye are well,
As it´s written in Isaiah:
"12How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Isaiah 14:12-14
About it there´s a nice quotoation in a book called " the Desire of Ages.
". The strife for the highest place was the outworking of that same spirit which was the beginning of the great controversy in the worlds above, and which had brought Christ from heaven to die. There rose up before Him a vision of Lucifer, the "son of the morning," in glory surpassing all the angels that surround the throne, and united in closest ties to the Son of God. Lucifer had said, "I will be like the Most High"

Greetings

Sorry i couldn´t finish the last quotation so here it goes the end of the quote..

"(Isa. 14:12, 14); and the desire for self-exaltation had brought strife into the heavenly courts, and had banished a multitude of the hosts of God. Had Lucifer really desired to be like the Most High, he would never have deserted his appointed place in heaven; for the spirit of the Most High is manifested in unselfish ministry. Lucifer desired God's power, but not His character. "

thanks in advance

Satan desires to be Worshiped;He will have to Totally Posses a "Man" and Millions will talk how
He has settled the Mid-East Equation, He being into driving Man,as opposed to God that leads;
Satan will demand People to receive His Brand to show who their owner Is; There will be Multitudes
that will not accept this Worship by the Numbers,Jew and Gentile,They will resist unto Physical Death;-------There will be a Remnant that survive The "Peace Plan' ( Seven Yr Trib;) and will
be allowed to enter the 1000 yr Reign of Christ;
These Mortals will Repopulate the Earth;Pre Flood conditions return, Billions of Mortals will be Born;

He definately desired the Power and Glory of God, if he wanted God's character i doubt he would have being so foolish as to wanting to "exalt his throne above the stars of God".cheers

It cannot be power. God has givin it to him on several occasions. (Job, Jesus being killed, etc). On these Satan manipulated humans like God does.

And it cannot be character, because clearly they are different in the way they deal with humans and spiritual creatures.

So that begs the question...what does Satan want?

******
Jacob..thats not easy. to do that...just fix a few things. BOOM!!

I like him better already!

Lucifer original charactyer was good, how it became corrupt is not revealed. He desired God's power / position of authority.

Well, the name "Lucifer" does mean "light giver," so "son of the morning" makes a certain amount of sense. I wonder, too, if there's a translation issue here.

peace respect regards

Clearly He wanted to be worshiped. I believe it is clear that He knew He didn't have YHVH's power, and He clearly did NOT want YHVH's character of self sacrificing love, (As was shown with great clarity at the Cross.

Simple, why confuse things, you quote like half the bible bud.
Satan wanted the power, he wanted humans serving him.

If he wanted to be LIKE god he would be looking up to him, admiring him........does that sound like the Satan you know?

He quite likes himself I think.....

his power.

"I am the most beautiful of your creations & have the respect of all the others, I am as good as you, so I should have what you have"
God's "How can a creation be as powerful or better then it's creator?"
Satan"s "It is better to rein in hell then serve in heaven!"
