I would go back about 15 years when I was a "kid" bowhunting with my dad.... man did we have fun. I will never be able to have a better hunt in my life. Those truely were the good ole days. I have been on many hunts and have had wonderful times with some great people but If I could pick one day to hunt it would be with my old man anywhere we could chase a deer.

Pheasant hunt in fall behind a good lab in a corn field. That's the hunt I look forward to the most, and get the most enjoyment from eating, although the goose hunt comes in a close second.

Archery hunting for Elk in early Fall. Somewhere in the Rocky Mountains where you had to ride a horse to get into "spike camp". Then creep along some ridge glassing bulls until that perfect one showed its massive antlers. Set up, start calling to him and wait for the ultimate hunt to come to an end with that once-in-a-lifetime shot.

I think I would choose to hunt squirrels. Sound silly? I just enjoy being in the woods and when you are hunting squirrels, you get to move around a lot more than when hunting deer. The more that you move, the more of the beautiful woods you get to see. Yep, I think I'd choose a good squirrel hunt as my last hunting trip.

I would try an elk hunt in one of the western states.
I went mule deer hunting in Wyoming once and got real close to a cow elk and her nursing calf plus 3 nice bulls. It was awesome.
