what i leave is left behind, i prefer to look for better oppurtunities rather than going back, i most probably would take care that i dont make the same mistake again.

Your question is just way too open ended to answer. But it's obvious that your old job was important to you.
Why did you leave it? It must of been something bad, so if you went back could that same bad thing happen again?
After four years has anything improved? Are the same people still there? Or have things changed? And how about you? -have you changed in ways that would make your old job more or less appealing now?

Taking into consideration you spend most of you day at work, my suggestion would be, If you love it go back and do it, remember you need to get up every day and go there, is that going to be nice that is the question. if the answer is yes, DO IT.

I don't see anything wrong with returning and doing something you really loved to do. Just make sure you are in good standing with the company you left.
Life happens sometimes and we have to do what is best for us.
Good Luck!
