Yes, absolutely. MOST girls think they "should not" ask guys out. I DON'T KNOW ANY GUYS WHO FEEL THAT WAY. EVERY guy I have ever asked has said he would not mind if a girl asked him out.

Of course, the answer can be negative -- whether a guy asks or a girl asks. But if you think you guys are clicking, he is very likely to at least give you guys a chance and a try and go out for a date.

Also, you girls have more flexibility than guys do. A guy can't waffle around and hope to get a yes. YOU CAN. As a girl you can joke with him, and say

"If you asked me out, I might say yes."

(Notice that the "might" is a joke and likely to provoke a fun dialogue, because of course you are going to say yes, or you wouldn't have said it. But you are teasing him that you might say no, when he knows you won't.)

I can't do that as a guy, because the girl will wonder "So are you asking me out or not?"

But you can give him a softball pitch and let him swing at the ball. You can "almost" ask him out, and then let him do it officially.

First of all, how do you "like" someone you don't even know? I would certainly ask a girl out if I was interested in getting to know her better. But there is no way you can know either of you "like" each other until after you have had some social interaction, you might be totally unsuited for each other. The only way to find out is to at least talk to one another. So, if you see someone you find interesting, ask them out, whether you are the boy or girl, express your interest and see where it takes you. Otherwise you might miss out on some terrific friendships.

Listening to hearsay and acting on that, can land one in trouble.First one must get sure about that girls feelings towards you.Only then, can one ask her out.Now coming to the next part, first of all, I aint a boy but a grown up man.Secondly I am a mixture of all the above qualities, like nice, kind, funny, etc.

I'd ask her for her phone number, and get to know more about her over the phone. This way, I could find out if we had like interests or much in common. And depending on if there was a certain chemistry there, I'd ask her out.....or not!

Absolutely I would ask her out.

If I was told she liked me. And I liked her, but we've never really spoken, sure thing. I'd ask her out and we'd get to know each other better and see how it goes from there.

What kind of guy I am?
I'm nice, kind & funny.

But this situation has never happened to me, so... :(

You suggested that I already liked the girl but had not asked he "Out" before I was told she liked me.

Well, as long as I did like her and she was fairly compatable of course I would ask her out and see of our personalities were really that similar. After that - it depends on how the first date went.

Yeah I would. I am pretty easy going but it takes awhile for the ice breaker but most girls I meet for the first time tell me that they find me a nice and friendly guy.

If I felt the "spark," I'd ask her out. If she asked me out, I'd feel honored. What kind of guy am I? Judge for yourself.

I'm a girl, but if I liked a guy and I had heard he liked me, I'd ask him out.

And by the way: it's "if you were told". Conditional tense. Don't ask why.
