That is per different type of drug prescribed, and thus per item UNLESS (as is the case with Warfarin) the drug involved comes in different doses and you require two seperate tablets to make up the dose (e.g. to take 4mg you need a 3mg tablet and 1 mg tablet - you pay only once to receive a supply of 3 mg Warfarin and a supply of 1 mg Warfarin)

You can save money by buying yearly cards etc if you know you are going to need them.
