My Mother and Father were divorced, my Mother was remarried with children when my Father died in Nov.1968. My Father left my Mother a letter earlier that year, which is a will.. At the time of his death, he was buyin some land. In this letter, he states he wants my Mother to take the money that would be coming in from S.S. to pay the land off, and make sure that his daughter got it. My Mother paid the land off, and somehow got the Deed put in her name. Then in 1999 she gave it to my half Brother. This land was in my Fathers Succession. When I had found that out, I had no choice, but to get an attorney. Last year I dropped the law suit, to save face with my family, thinking that they would do the right thing, and have the Deed put in my name...Not, my half Brother is still on the Deed....My question is...Why do I have to settle with half of what, was to be mine. Brother had the nerve to tell me he was (giving) me half, how is that ,when its not his to give? The nerve of some people..

What your brother is doing is very wrong. It is not his to be giving half away to begin with. I know your family might give you a hard time but you should not let yourself be taken advantage of. If that was your fathers wish then you should hire an attorney and do whatever you have to do to make sure that his wish is for filled. Good Luck

Greed is ugly. They have let it pervert their sense of judgment. Just don't let it do the same to you. Learn to live with what you have. If you were really meant to have the land then just believe that it will some how find its way into your hands.

they are greedy, plain and simple, and did not respect your father's wishes.

sometimes we have to accept the crap life tosses in our faces, and move forward.

meanwhile, what comes around, goes around, and surely it will go around for your mother and brother sooner or later.

take care of YOU.... hugs
