Try looking at the Garden of Eden account in its original context. Forget any demonology or Christology or Pauline doctrine that you have learned. When understanding the Garden of Eden in its original context, did Adam and Eve sin?

And I dont' mean "forget" like forever forget I just mean try to understand the account in the original context. And to do so you have to take off your Pauline, Christological and Demonology presuppositions.

Considering that God had not given them the knowledge of Good and Evil, and thus by definition could not sin - no matter what 'instructions' God gave to them. I would say no.
Furthermore, considering that God put this stupid Tree of Knowledge into the Garden, knowing full well that they would be tempted to eat it, I'd say that God is guilty of entrapment.
If He really didn't want them to eat it, why not put a freaking guard on it? He couldn't spare an angel, or maybe a pack of velociraptors to protect the tree? Or better yet, just don't put the freaking tree in the Garden?!?
If you leave a steak on the floor, and your dog eats it, even though you specifically told him not to, is the dog really at fault? No.
And then, to top it off, the serpent who actually gets them to eat the fruit is vilified.
In every other culture, the being who rebels against the other gods and gives the gifts of fire and sentience to humanity is venerated as a hero by the people, even as he is cast in exile by the other gods. The Abrahamic tradition is the only one that makes the Prometheus/Quetzlcoatl figure, Lucifer "the Light Bringer" into the BAD guy.
Even if the Genesis were literally true, I can't understand why anyone would worship the being described as God in that story.

There are those that believe that they were given two mutually exclusive commandments, Stay in the Garden sinless and clueless and immortal without posterity vs Leave the Garden, become mortal and have children, take a chance on sin and rely on Atonement. We should be grateful that Eve took the lead and allowed us to come into being. The other option would have frustrated God's plan but the choice had to be freely made.

Yes they sinned. Adam & Eve sinned when they ate the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge of good & bad.
The sin Genesis 3: 1 - 7.
The punishment Genesis 3: 8 - 24.
There was no need to eat of this tree. They had plenty of nourishing foods to choose from. Adam & Eve deliberately chose to disobey Jehovah God. How sad for them & for us today.

In Genesis, it says that God told Adam not to eat of the tree of good and evil.
Adam had told Eve about not eating the fruit also, because the serpent said "Did God really say that?" (so she knew about not eating it).
Both sinned by disobeying God.

I don't know what you mean, but yes. They disobeyed God's command.
EDIT
Romans 5:12-14 claims that Adam sinned. Other passages tell you sin entered the world because of Adam.
Revelation 12:9 and Revelation 20:2 claim that the serpent was Satan.
You can see it either way. The serpent is evil and the people disobeyed God.

If ppl want to know truth, they will get a Bible and look these things up for themselves. WHen we look them up for ppl that are only in rebellion to God, they just mock it and say they wont believe it. SO till they are ready to be serious, it does no good to give them truth, as they dont want it.
You can put any wording to it you want. The Holy Bible tells us that Adam and Eve both sinned, as they operated in disobience, which always bring curse. No other way to look at it if you believe in GOd and the Holy Bible.
If you take other books to give a different opinion, you are surely allowed to do that and you will have a very different concclusion. But for those that believe in God of the Holy Bible with the full teachings of Jesus Christ, we do know that Adam and Eve did sin, from disobedience.
Still works today too, disobedience leads to curse, and obedience leads to blessing. If we are to be GOds, we must obey God, in fact it is a requirement, not just a suggestion. God says IF YOU LOVE ME OBEY ME.
THere you go. pretty simple huh, and there are tons of things in scripture about this , all saying the same thing. If one wants to know, they must study to know the word of God.
Each person must work out their own salvation, not excpect us to do it for them. WE love them and we pray, but its up to them to know and to accept.
Its something we EACH have to do, noone can do it for us either.
Its all choice folks.
Jesus is coming soon. amen

permit's see, God is all understanding so earlier he ever began to create something, he knew the coolest millisecond that Eve's tooth might touch the exterior of the fruit. He additionally knew that a speaking serpent might convince her to do disobey, even however she had no concept until after eating that disobeying grew to become into incorrect. They, inspite of each little thing, had not been raised by potential of mom and dad and hence had no concept which you may obey plus they had no know-how or thank you to tell apart between stable and evil until they ate the fruit. i might say that God planned all of it alongside.

I like to think of it as an allegory where they were given a choice between happiness or knowledge. Even as a child, it made sense to me that Eve chose knowledge over happiness.
I would make that same decision. In fact -- I do -- every day.
If making that choice is a sin, I am happy to live with the consequences.

THEY WERE NOT PREDESTINED TO SIN AS THE PERSON BELOW ME SAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOOK AT WHAT I HAVE!!!!
Resoning from the Scriptures
Fate
When God created Adam, did he know that Adam would sin?
Here is what God set before Adam and Eve: "Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving upon the earth." "And Jehovah God also laid this command uopn the man: 'From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction. But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die.'" (Gen. 1:28; 2:16, 17) Would you encourage your children to undertake a project a marvelous future, knowing from the start that it was doomed to failure? Would you warn them of harm, while knowing that you had planned everything so that they were sure to come to grief? It is reasonable, then, to attribute such to God?
Matt. 7:11: "If you, although being wicked [or, "bad as you are," NE], know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more so will your Father who is in the heavens give good things to those asking him?"
If God foreordained and foreknew Adam's sin and all that would result from this, it would mean that by creating Adam, God deliberately set in motion all the wickedness committed in human history. He would be the Source of all the wars, the crime, the immorality, the oppression, the lying, the hypocrisy, the disease. But the Bible CLEARLY says: "You are not a God taking delight in wickedness." (Ps. 5:4) "Anyone loving violence His soul certainly hates." (Ps. 11:5) God......cannot lie." (Titus 1:2) From Oppression and from violence he [the One designated by God as Messianic King] will redeem their soul, and their blood will be precious in his eyes." (Ps. 72:14) "God is love." (1 John 4:8) "He is a lover of righteousness and justice."---Ps. 33:5
What Was the Original Sin?
http://watchtower.org/e/200606b/article_01.htm
THIS question is far from academic. How so? Because Adam and Eve’s disobedience to God affected all future generations right down to our time. The Bible states: “Through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned.” (Romans 5:12) But how did the simple act of taking and eating fruit from a tree result in such tragic consequences?
When God created Adam and Eve, he settled them in a beautiful garden that was filled with edible vegetation and fruit-bearing trees. Only one tree was out of bounds—“the tree of the knowledge of good and bad.” Being free moral agents, Adam and Eve could choose to obey God or disobey him. Adam was warned, however, that “in the day you eat from [the tree of knowledge] you will positively die.”—Genesis 1:29; 2:17.
A Fitting Restriction
Who Really Rules the World?
http://watchtower.org/e/t22/article_01.htm
Many people would answer the above question with a single word—God. But significantly, nowhere does the Bible say that either Jesus Christ or his Father are the real rulers of this world. On the contrary, Jesus said: "The ruler of this world will be cast out." And he added: "The ruler of the world is coming. And he has no hold on me."—John 12:31; 14:30; 16:11.
So the ruler of this world is in opposition to Jesus. Who could this be?
A Clue From World Conditions
Despite the efforts of well-meaning humans, the world has suffered terribly throughout history. This causes thinking persons to wonder, as did the late editorial writer David Lawrence: "'Peace on earth'—nearly everybody wants it. 'Good will toward men'—almost all the peoples of the world feel it toward one another. Then what's wrong? Why is war threatened despite the innate desires of peoples?"

Yes they did, but God intended they do so. They disobeyed God, in His ONE command to them, to not eat the forbidden fruit, from The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
"God knew ahead of time what the results of sin would be. God knew that Adam and Eve would sin, and would thereby bring evil, suffering, and death into the world. Why, then, did God put the tree in the Garden of Eden and allow Satan to tempt Adam and Eve? God put the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden to give Adam and Eve a choice."
