Each state is different, but I am fairly certain that you can use the rest for food, rent, whatever. If you don't complete the program you will have to pay back the pell grant.

I believe you get a refund. Once your tuition & fees are taken care of, you should receive a refund check for the remainder. At least that's how the process went when I was in school.

Depends on the grant, try and use it, as a rule use it or loose it.
