What is it that shows that we are Christians? Is it wearing a cross for a necklace, having Bibles on our shelves, going to church, or simply being like Christ in character?
Don't worry, there will be no law enacted to take your Bibles away or to abolish Christianity, at least not the Christianity that is so popular, the Christianity of the majority. If I correctly understand the book of Revelation the true Christians in these last days will be persecuted by the leaders of the professed churches of Christ just as Christ and His disciples were persecuted by the leaders of the Jewish church. In these last days, the leaders of the professed churches of Christ will finally convince the secular leaders that the true people of God are deserving of death and a death decree will be enacted against them and when the time for the execution of that death decree shall come, the people of God will be delivered by the voice of God. This event will be followed by a great earthquake and the return of Jesus in the clouds of heaven.
p.s. i have more than one Bible all marked up and many books on the shelves of my library (some that I have written) that would certainly betray me into the hands of those who would be looking for anything like it.

No, my bible does not have dust on it,,,and yes,,,it is marked up,,yellow high-lighted on nearly every pag,,especially in the book of Acts.....written in the front and back,,,torn on one corner where my little puppy chewed on it,,,but I still carry the same one, I had in 1980, when I got saved...a totally used bible....but I also read the bible on-line a lot too and I have a shortcut to the bible on my desktop...
I'm not big on publications....I don't subscribe to magazines...I do have a lot of books about the bible but they are not out right now...I think they are under the bed...I have a Franklin electronic bible right behind my head in the bookcase so I can grab it easily...I lost a lot of tapes and books during the hurricane,,,so I don't have much bought back yet...I have gospel Cd's and especial my husbands Gospel Cd's in the computer room...I have Hallelujah on my cellphone as my ringer...
I don't have any statues or religious pictures. I'm Pentecostal not Catholic....
Probably enough to be convicted...OH, and my three little cats are named Shadrack, Meshack and Abednigo....Or Shad,,,,Meshe (my little girl) and Abe.......

Christianity is not anything external, but internal. Christians read the Bible, and don't have a chance for dust to form. The things I have in my house is for me and not others. I have walked with the Lord since 1977, through much joy and trials. I know what's in my heart, and that I am his child. Remember in the Bible Jesus saw how pious people looked, but their hearts were dark.

Depends on what was being banned.
I don't believe a simple religious devotion would be banned unless it was a public nuisance. My brand of belief is not a public nuisance.
However I do have bibles. So I guess if it was illegal to own one what would you do since the bible commands us to obey authority?
Bibles and publications and things become an idol that we cannot live without. Are we dying for our belief or dying for material possessions?
This is the reason why God gave us his holy spirit. If that were to happen I think I would be just fine. That is of course loving your neighbor was against the law. Then I guess I would be executed.

Hooo, boy, I'd be in trouble much...
Let's see...there's the angel over my front door, the cross in my living room, the print of the last supper in my dining room, angels in my bathroom and bedroom...
And these are only the most obvious things.
I have several Bibles, and all of them are underlined and written in.
I have quite a few other Christian publications...including my own Book of Barabbas, which is prominently displayed over my computer, as well as several of my poems which have been printed out and framed.
Oh, yeah...I'm guilty...

I have my Bible and several Christian subject materials around. Banning Christianity based on owning those types of paraphernalia would certainly be enough to convict me (and most of us for than matter). But Christianity is more than just owning the books. It's studying, taking to heart for understanding, and LIVING the premises set forth in them!

I guess they would take me in.
I praise God I don't live in a country that will put me in prison or give me the death sentence for reading the bible or going to Church or preaching the Gospel of peace to others.
I remember when God first healed me from a breakdown. I was soo interested in getting answers. I read the bible & highlighted anything God enlightened to me or answered me. My husband was angry about my reading the bible sooo much & going to Church sooo much & going to bible studies with others. Or going to prayer groups with other ladies. That he started getting violent. Physically started pushing me around. But I nipped that in the bud when I called 911. So? He stopped that then. But, he was also upset when I tossed all his porno mags out. And he started coming against my Christian books & also ripped my bible in 1/2. Right at the place in Proverbs with the question of Davids Lord & His LORD. So? I had to tape this bible together. It was actually a gift from his mom (my mother n law).

Yes I would be convicted. No, my bible is clean. Yes, it is underlined and written in. The cross on the wall, my cross necklace, my bible and my Christian books show that I'm a Christian. Yes. In my room's shelf.

mmm...my bible is with me wherever I go and is about as dog-eared as it can get from so much use. Secular music nor secular tv (besides G rated cartoons) is played in my house. My night stand full to overflowing with christian reading material. Even my workout CDs are by a Christian minister....I think the most worldly DVD I have is One Night with the King...
so I guess I'd be going to jail.
