Idiocracy is probably one of the best pieces of modern satire to come around in a long time. If you don't understand why that is, attend a NASCAR event, go to Disney World, or sit in the stands at an NBA event.

HILARIOUS movie! The idiots are breeding!!!
Give the plants electrolytes, because they crave them!

To your question, the movie does not talk about God. It talks about intellect, and the fact that smart people are making what they call "smart choices" about breeding. Stupid people, however, are breeding like rabbits.

As for your assumptions: humanity did not fall due to religion, it fell due to lack of intellect, and being atheist does not correlate to being intelligent or getting a proper education.
People both religious and not fall into degradation. People of both great and little education believe in God.

The movie, again, is just a fun movie with a warning that all the stupid people are breeding.

The uneducated masses in that movie weren't from mindless following of a religion or anything, it was all from crappy TV, so more atheists wouldn't do jack. I guess everyone in that movie is technically an atheist because they never leave the TVs. God would be present and necessary even if the world sank to that level, but he's not going to directly help us out if we do.

If what you are saying is true, the world should be perfect because of the intelligent level of the scientist and atheists. But the opposite is true, the world is getting worst because the scientist and atheists are trying to limit God in our world.

I have seen it, and I thought it was mediocre. It had a couple funny moments.

I believe that one of the reasons that "humanity has fallen" is *because* or the presence of god-belief. I wouldn't say that we need more Atheists, per se, but we need more emphasis on intelligence, education, science and reason. Oh, and tolerance.

i thought the movie was so funny! i don't really know if i'd bring religion into it, but for me - since i am religious - i think that God definitely plays a huge role in our world, obviously. atheists and also those who are religious, can both provide intelligence to the world.

Education ought to mean knowledge and character. We do lack it, but I don't think being an atheist exemplifies it.

I challenge your arrogant assumption that atheist are in some way more intellectual. Most atheist on here are merely followers that go by a different name and choose to blindly follow something else(science).
