i have to discus the topic above, what can i write?
i have to have a for and against, then what i think about it, it is worth 4 marks, so 4 points.

Other than the Catholic church holding Mary (the mother of Jesus) and Peter up on pedastals, I do not see where they are judged to the standard of Jesus.

Consider Peter. At the arrest of Jesus, he whips out his sword and tries to cut a man's head off (it is only because he was a fisherman [IMO] that he missed the head and only got the guy's ear).

Afterwards, he was afraid and ran away. In fact, they all ran away.

Only Peter and John are brave enough to go to the trial, and there Peter is afraid for his life and curses God (this is after walking on water, climbing the mountain and watching Jesus being transformed into light, and witnessing the healing of his mother, performing miracles, etc...).

So, if it is that hard for Peter to not sin, deny Jesus, be aggressive, then how can we compare him to the Son of God.

Yes, they were just 12 men that had the privilege of walking and talking with Jesus while He was in the flesh. They touched, smelled, and saw Him in human form. No, they were not Jesus. But they got to witness firsthand all of His miracles and teachings...
