yes.. miracles lk Jesus did!!
they still happen today.. :D the sick still get healed.. pastors lk benny hinn.. they heal the lame.. they heal the sick.. and pastors lk mike connell they still bring deliverance..
but this things happen through the power of the Holy Spirit.. its not whereby the pastors want to pray for the sick or cast out demons.. it onli comes when the Holy Spirit is present and is moving in a mighty way..
and the same Holy Spirit that fell on the apostles is still present today.. there are still many tongue speaking churches.. and it is said.. tongues shall be a sign unto the unbelievers.. when u receive the Holy Spirit the gift of tongues will be given unto u as well..
also.. there are still much prohesying through the power of the Holy Spirit.. not much has changed.. people still fall under the power of the Holy Spirit.. there is still Holy Laughter.. and definitely there is still science and wonders following the move of the Holy Spirit..
John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
in the Bible it has already been confirmed.. after Jesus would leave to return to the Father we would continue His works.. and do even greater works.. hence.. today.. miracles still do happen the blind can see.. the lame can walk.. if they believe they can be healed.. and they have the faith to be healed.. definitely the power of the Holy Spirit can heal them!! :D

There is a theory I've read that explains the miracles really well from the view of a non-fundamentalist. Jesus was an 'apocalyptic', he believed that the world as we know it was about to end and be replaced by a new world that would be completely different. Every act of his ministry was to show this new world.
For instance, Jesus believed (and he said over and over) that rich people would become poor and poor people would become rich, so he hung out with poor people and treated them with respect like rich people got, and he had no respect for rich people. He believed women and men would have equal status in the new world so he treated women just the same as men, which was pretty radical in those days. There would be no sickness or death in the new world so Jesus healed the sick and raised the dead, just to show what it would be like.
I'm not a Christian (as I guess you can tell by now!) but my view of Jesus is historical. I think he really existed, but I don't think he did miracles, I think they are legendary. I think they are stories told by early believers not to get people to believe in Jesus but to get them to understand the message. In that way the -are- metaphors.

The web site you give is by an unbeliever.
I don't think Muslims doubt miracles of Jesus, so I am guessing you are Jewish.
Although I'm a Jew's son, I believe in the risen Lord, and proud of it.
I've invited Him into my heart, and I believe what He said. He is the best part of me.
(If you are a Jew, Christians tend to support Isreal, so we don't need this kind of unbelief speculation from His fellow Hebrews.)
We can manage to fail to believe on our own, sadly, without your help!
Miracles happen all the time. But the Word of God does not promise us a rose garden.
Bad things happened ... even in the OT...example Job!
I like to give the example of the traffic cop hiding behind a big sign, to catch disobedient drivers.
No one speeds when the cop is in their rear view mirror!
God lets man think He is not there, so our "trial", on this sin cursed planet, will be a fair test.
Just wait, and ask Him in the after-life. We cannot judge God, nor should we.
God only knows the mysteries of life! We will understand it all some day.

Jesus today,yesterday...the same.We as believers should
expect and experience signs and wonders.I have seen the disabled run out of wheelchairs. In Russia and all over the blind and deaf have been healed and a few incidents of the Lazurus type in villages of Africa.
Why don't we see more of them?simply because we lack FAITH.Not metaphors but the same power He had then is in evidence now.Jesus is the originator of miracles happening..

Clearly, what we are seeing practiced in certain churches in our day is not the true gifts.
Usually, when you hear of some supposed miracle occurring, it can never be verified.
Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, tongues was always in a known language, and is NOT the gibberish you see "spoken" today.
The miracles of Christ and those named in the Bible are not metaphorical. They truly happened as reported. There is NO reason to think them as anything but a real event.

This church outreaches to the community and helps those that are in choose for in an somewhat genuine way. i for my section did no longer like the statue i like Jesus yet i'm a believer of spending your funds on different issues for glory of God and the forged of guy as a substitute of a few thing it somewhat is large to look at. i'm hoping they positioned a large go (made out of a few thing risk-free) interior the placement of this statue's continues to be.

The interesting thing is:
The oldest New Testament (from the time of Jesus) documents in possession by the church [their copies of the four gospels] are in the Greek language and hundreds of years older than the time of the Disciples.
In the 1940's, in Nag Hammadi, by the dead sea [near where they found the "Dead Sea Scrolls"], the largest collection of pre-Catholic Christian Scriptures was found, accidentally. These have been carbon-dated and some of them are from the first two centuries of the Christian [our] era.
The interesting thing is that though many of these writings are filled with interactions between Jesus and others in various circumstances NOT ONE of the stories has Jesus performing ANY "miracles"...NONE.
I think this is very significant; and shows (in my opinion) that the miracle stories were added to gain converts, and that the truth itself, generally isn't enough to motivate people without some magical promise thrown in.

As far as walking on water, his physical body isn't on the beach to do so. But miracles happen every day.
I wish one time you could see a terminally ill person become healthy and no trace of the disease ever found in the name of Jesus thru prayer and if it is Gods will to save that person.
People get sick and die because it is their time to leave this earth.

I really believe He did those things. Even other sources of the time indicate that He did things that were extraordinary; they just said that it didn't come from God.

Nothing written in the Bible is to be taken at face value... Everything has to be interpreted by the clergy, preaches, priests and what have you... If they tell you that Jesus walked over water... well, he probably knew where the stones were, but the clergy won't tell you that......
