Kissy,
I live in Florida and go to Daytona and Homestead every year. I've sat all over the place so here's my take.
Avoid the package on the superstretch for the busch and cup race. They will try to sell those first and bait you into it.
#1 Everyone likes to stand up lap after lap and you can't see crap until the cars are directly in front of you. You may also get stuck behind one of several lighting towers and they will not tell you that when you purchase the tickets. Avoid those tix like the plague.
#2 The waiting lines for the buses to return to the parking lot takes approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours after each race.
#3 The bathroom facilities are the worst Ive ever seen at any track and their are limited vendors and attractions.
#4 You literally have to climb up and down about 60 steps to get to and from your seats if your a bit higher. The only access is near the bottom of the stands.
I've sat at various places on the front stretch. I hate the start/finish at any track because of the head moving left to right for 4 hour deal. I have found the absolute best place to sit at Daytona is off turn 4 at least 20 rows up. This way you get a great view of the cars going into turn 3, off turn 4 and right down the entire front stretch again without moving your head as much. Call this silly but Im sure people agree. You also have a good but not great view of the cars coming off turn 2 and down the entire back stretch because the pits aren't directly in front of you but you can see all the action down pit row to your right.
Take it for what its worth. The tickets are reasonable in those sections and the view is great. I also sit there for the truck race on Friday and the stands aren't quite fully packed so you can relax without being bumped up against everyone.
Also its really cool to watch the cars snaking down the entire front stretch through that tri oval. You can't appreciate it sitting near the start/finish line.
I made a couple typos the first time so re read.

The absolute best seat in the house is behind the wheel of a stockcar, but those seats are extremely hard to get into.

On my living room sofa!! I HATE going to Daytona anymore! You would think they'd have the parking thing down pat but NO! It sucks! We were stuck in our cars for 3 hours right there and couldn't get in to park. Had to pee on the side of the road!!

Between start finish and 1st turn up high... I'll be there in the infield on the roof of my uncles motorcoach in the VIP lot, unless I get a bartending gig in one of the suites like I did last yr.... Can't wait to cheer Dale Jr to victory...
Go Dale Jr win at Phoenix

For the price, when I do go.. The ALLISON tower [k]. I love my racing, but I can't see spending $1400.00 / $1500.00 for a race. That Allison Tower is on the backstrech, but their O.K.
