Well for some people its 16 or 17.. but maybe its better off to start when highschool or school finishes because thats whats most important. Its really up to you and the fact if you think that you're ready

what age are you?
anyways i would say 17.
you see once you know you can take care of yourself mentally ( like problem solving and you are not immature) then you are ready to date.
still there is this study that was conducted and it is reported that if you can take care of a pet or a plant then you are ready to date. it all have to do with the level of maturity of the individual.

it all depends on u an the person u intend to deal with but i started at 16, 3 years have gone an am still with that guy so its pretty good 4 me. i wish u luck with whatever u decide

I agree on 16 providing that the grades, activities and family obligations are not allowed to suffer.

well I'm 16 and dating has taken me through to much drama and pain so I say 18.

It is more maturity than age but I do reccomend to concentrate on studies during school.....
