For over 10 years I walked to work and now find myself with a 60 mile round trip commute. I cannot tell you how much I hate to be on the highway. Drivers are so inconsiderate and distracted that I fear for my safety everyday.
Here, in no particular order are the things that annoy me most, on the road:

1. Not driving on the correct side of the road: Don't laugh, every day I see people heading straight at me as if they are trying to play "chicken". When did the middle of the road become a lane? Or when did the correct way to drive down the highway become with two tires on the lane divider?
2. Never using signal lights
3. Using signal lights improperly. I love when people turn on their signal DURING a turn.
4. Blocking the passing lane
5. Slowing down, because your exit is 2 miles away
6. Swinging out to make a turn when it is clearly not necessary to do so.
7. Failure to stop/make way for pedestrians
8. Purposely trying to startle cyclists/pedestrians.

For being a truck driver and just about the rest of the truck driver here are some things that are annoying;
1. When someone has to get out from behind me then pass me and the have the balls to cut me off just to take the very next exit,
2. Or when someone has to slow down to 20 mph below the speed limit to take the next exit 1 or 2 miles up the road,
3. Not using the turn signals,
4. Turning on the turn signal after they are already in the lane they want,
4. TAILGATING,
5. When I'm making a WIDE RIGHT turn on a city street and someone has to drive up RIGHT SIDE my trailer. It's like they don't see the turn signal on the back of the trailer,
6. Staying beside the right side of the truck on the interstate. There is a big BLIND SPOT there for the driver and I can not see them,
7. When some MORON has to cut in front of my truck and slam on the brakes for no reason at all,
8. Can not keep a maintain a steady speed on the highway,
9. Or when they make a right turn from the left lane at a traffic light because they think that I'm to slow. Hey don't laugh it happens all the time to me when I'm on city streets,
10. Or when I'm trying to change lanes on the interstate with my turn signal ON and they just speed up so that I can not merge over safely. All I want to do is either get over so I can an exit or just out of the way because I know that I'm going slow enough to hold up traffic or when I want to pass a slower vehicle. But no the MORONS have to speed up so I can do these things safely,
11. When people can not share the road with the truck on the road.
If was not for the truck on the road this country would come to a stop. If people would just realize that every thing that we wear, eat, drive, sleep on, live in, and buy was brought to them by a truck driver. They might have a little more respect for us.

1. Driving on my bumper! At 80 mph, stay back!!!!
2. Flashing lights at me. I think when I'm doing 80 mph thats fast enough. Go around me!
3. Blowing horn. If someone is sitting in front of me, where would you like me to go? Get real.
4. Jumping into the intersection the second the light changes. I've seen too many people go through red lights to do that.
5. Cut me off to get 1 car ahead of me.
6. Zig-zagging in and out of lanes on the highway, passing but not really going anywhere.
7. Doing 45 in the fast lane.

ok. I'm done. thanks for letting me vent too!

Using a cell phone while driving
Putting on make- up, because now you have to be sure that at least they see you.
I hate it when they try to force themselves in to your lane because they are going to miss the exit.
Why don't you stay on the far right lane if you are about to exit the freeway? Why wait for the last minute? Motorcycle riders , they ride as if they dont care about their lives

Totally what wife 2 den said.
1. People riding your bumper when you are already exceeding the speed limit. Flashing their lights to make you go faster when traffic is jammed ahead. Where do they want you to go?
2. People who pass you so they can be at the stop light in front of you. I had one yahoo drive up over the median on my left to pass me and we had 50 ft to a red stop light.
3. People who speed and stop late at an intersection so they look like they are going to broadside you - especially when you are on a bike and they look like they are going to hit you.
After my 3rd time almost being hit on my bike at the same intersection I was thinking I should start carrying a rock. When I throw it at the vehicle that almost killed me how can they say they saw me throw a rock when they did not see me and my bicycle in the intersection?
4. Headscarved or veiled woman driving recklessly. My husband was almost killed by one - but you can't report things like this unless you can identify them.

Overtaking you just before a slip road and then cutting in front and braking to turn off.
General lack of courtesy
Overtaking on the inside on 3 lane highways ; motorways, autostradas or whatever.
Blocking a junction when there is nowhere for them to go.
Rude finger gestures and horn blowing
.[that's just a few]

NUMBER 3!! that drives me nuts too
and you know what else I hate....whenever you're moving along at a pretty good speed and you see someone pulling out up further ahead of you then you have to put on your brakes in like 2 seconds because you're already caught up to them....
and what makes this worse is when there is NOBODY behind you...they could have waited two more seconds to pull out
