I have a Ford Escape and love it!! It is actually my second one!! I had the 2006 and now I'm in a 2008 - the body style on them are different but I love them both equally (the first one was rear-ended by some "******" or I'd still have it!) But also it took the crash very well - I walked away fine! I'd recommend the Escape to anyone & they also have a hybrid modle (costs more though)

In the current economic climate, with oil at a premium and global warming a growing threat, the only good SUV is one that is up on blocks with tyres removed.

If you want a good rough-terrain vehicle, you can invest in a 4WD truck without having to go the SUV route.
