But now with the method I can fully focus my energy and thoughts into a decisive line on how to make my life better constantly. And it works like magic! I'm beginning to attract people to me once again and things have just been looking up since then.

I have been diagnose for depression in the past. I was 23 and just had my second child though. Depression is different for everyone. You do seem to be down, but for valid reasons. I would start by seeing a doctor. Your family doctor can get you started on medicine if necessary and refer you to a counselor or therapist. Wether you go on medicine or not, a counselor is always a good idea to get professional insite and opinion on the issues you are dealing with. Good luck!

How irritating is it that someone made a joke of this...
First of all a friend is not someone who will abuse you that way.
I don't necessarily think seeing a doctor would help but maybe a first step would be to meet with the counselor at your school. Going through a separation and divorce, that helped my kids a lot. That could help to deal with a lot of your other issues as well. I would talk to the counselor or find a true friend that you trust.

Sweetie, I think it's all just normal...
1. If you feel fat, I would recommend starting to work out. If you all ready do this, learn to love yourself. Once you are in love with yourself, who cares what anyone else thinks! Do things for yourself to be healthy...and don't worry about fitting into someone else's pattern of perfection.
2. School is one of those things you can't avoid. Learn as much as you can and get out! :) Guys...well, they will always be guys....and will always frustrate you!
3. I am sorry to hear about your parents, I know that can not be easy for you. Do you think that some of your low self esteem comes from that? With this issue, talking to a therapist or counselor really might help you deal with the issues that are effecting you.
4. I doubt very seriously that you are ugly, but I do sense low self esteem again...love yourself sweetie...
5. I'd get rid of this friend...

I don't think it is....
Depression is a mood disorder that causes a child or teen to feel sad or irritable for a long period of time. A young person who is depressed may not enjoy school, play, or friends and may have low energy and other symptoms. As with an adult, symptoms of depression range from mild to severe and vary from person to person. Depression can last for a long time and may come in cycles of feeling down and feeling normal. Chronic (ongoing) mild depression, called dysthymia, occurs when a child feels a little down most of the time for a year or more. Both severe and mild forms of depression can be effectively treated.

This is not depression, it is everyday life. You don't need to go see a doctor. Every girl at some point in her life begins to feel like she's not pretty enough or not good enough. But just stop worrying about what everybody else thinks about you and you won't feel so depressed. Be who you are and forget what the rest of them think about you.

Hon, just the fact that your parents are separating, is a devistating life change, so you are normal for feeling upset about that.
Your friends have no right to invade your space, or physically abuse you... i don't agree with hitting, but give them a good slug next time they violate you... that's what i would do... you don't deserve repeated abuse...
I have listed a source below on the Teens Health website. I always recommend it, and it seems like a really great site for people in your age group.
If you feel you would like to talk to a doctor about the way you are feeling, then please do so... it can't hurt... hugs

For starters, you need a new friend!
You may be depressed, or you might just be going through what alot of teenagers, down through the ages have felt and gone through.
Go see a doctor anyway. It's better to be informed, rather than wondering if you are or not.
Good luck and I hope this helps. xo

This is called TEENAGER.
If you think it's hard...wait'll you learn what ADULTHOOD is like!
Then, if you survive that mess...you get to endure OLD AGE.
And if you're still smiling after that...you're faking it.
For you see, God is standing with club in hand, to show you the Great X-Rated Movie in the Sky..."YOUR REAL LIFE" ...and then you'll wish you had been kinder, more generous, caring and patient with others, instead of focusing on your own petty interests and the quest to acquire, out-do and be forever entertained by mindless sewage that only enriched filthy immature and base souls who abused and neglected their potentials to instead shirk responsibilities to spread more infectious folly throughout the earth as fast as they could, so they could put all their loads of cash into a trailer and be buried like an Egyptian King.
I suggest you snap into perfection and teach us all how to live, and thus, save an entire generation, forever.
This, my dear friend is why each one of us were born.
But no one seems to want to do the job. WHY?
.
