Of course, just remember that everything in your dream is there on purpose. Whether or not it is a past life is up to you, but even if it was pay very close attention to everything.
There is a reason the road was a dirt road, there is a reason you saw a school instead of a church or your house. These are examples of what I mean.

Oh yes. If you believe in reincarnation, you will have no doubt. Since I am from a land where reincarnation is as real as this life, I don't doubt that you are remembering your past life, maybe some part that had a such an powerful effect on you, such as maybe being killed, lossing someone or searching for someone you knew.
Lord Krishna said, Your body is just a cloth for your soul, and as we change cloths, so does the soul. You have always existed, and will be born again and again until, you have managed to reach Nirvana (Freedom from material world), and then you become part me, your creator.

As you go to sleep you can create a postulate to your true self ( soul ) that you are going ( not would like to ) to dream of a past life that my concsious self will readily accept. Then do as Sunscour suggests.
I have recalled past lives for eight years, on purpose. I know many of mine and in detail with names and karma.
