then what are we going to do about it? Are we going to buy some time waiting or figuring out a best way to talk into them to discontinue building nuclear reactor politically. Its not working! Come on, bomb them and get over with it!

What do you think?

Thanks,

why is it that this is a prime example of the " lemming" mentality exhibited by some thanks to POTUS.
Iran is not the immediate threat as he and Cheney want it to be.
The country that is most dangerous to us, Pakistan with its unstable government and with its Al Qaeda supporters in the nation and the government, has nukes and has not secured them. We have given them over $10 Billion and there is nothing to show for it- no Bin Laden, agreements with Al Qaeda sympathizers which has provided safe havens in the Pakistani mountains for Bin Laden and his ilk. A state of emergency which is spiraling out of control.
Al Qaeda has a better chance of getting nukes from them but it is okay- " they're our friends" The playground mentality is rampant with this adminstration which is just so sad. I would have thought we knew better.
We have a President who attacked a country that did not provide aid in terms of money or training to facilitate the attack on us. Afghanistan- righteous attack, Iraq- dumb move.
As much as I hate to say it, those are the actions of a bully. Iran hates us, and it not just because of our recent actions but because of our undermining THEIR democracy in 1953 which resulted in a US supported dictator who oppressed his people and killed them with impunity for 25 years by utilizing a secret police force which was considered at the time worse than the KGB- the Savak. A brutal secret police that was trained by the CIA and the Mossad ( the Israeli version of the CIA). We aided in the demolition of their democracy and orchestrated it right there on the grounds of the US embassy in Tehran, with the help of President Theodore Roosevelt's grandson, Kermit Roosevelt. Yes, that same embassy that was taken over by the students in 1979.
While we need to protect ourselves, being overseas en masse is NOT homeland security and attacking them. Who was further along than Iran- North Korea but did we nuke them? Is it because there is no oil there or is it because we did not foment the hatred in that nation against us the way we did in Iran? Think before we bomb.

No. They have the right to nuclear energy. IF they were pursuing an actual nuclear weapon, which there is NO proof of, a bombing campaign would only accelerate the process.

Pakistan has nuclear weapons, Wahabbism, al-Qaeda camps, a crazy dictator....

What are you proposing for that situation?

This machismo did not work in Iraq. What makes you think it will work in Iran/ We do not have enough bombs to bombard an entire country the size of Iran. And we do not have the troops to take over. A war with Iran may well make the Iraq debacle look like a picnic.
