Phoenix, AZ has Drive Thru liqour stores though out the city, and I think it's a beautiful thing. How many other cities out there have them? and what do you think about them?

The Liqour stores here sale everything from Wine to beer to peanuts to candy and even Adult Magazines. Now you don't have to be imbarresed asking for the Big Black Butts Magazine....LOL

We've had them in Australia for years. Used to be one on nearly every damn corner. (Exaggeration) They've been superseded by massive liquor barns, in Melbourne there's one that is the size of a city block. (no exaggeration). I used to manage one in Sydney. Carbon Monoxide poisoning galore! Dangerous for holdups too!

Drive-thru liquor stores? This is the weirdest thing I never would've thought of. I don't know if NJ is the exception or the rule but I never heard of this till I visited a friend who moved to PA. It SUCKS trying to buy something there. Liquor stores only sell wine or booze but if you want beer too then you have to go to another store - hence the drive-thru. Then you can't even get out of the car but you have to sit there talking to a guy in a little toll-booth house asking him what he has if he doesn't have what you originally want. Do I have to pay a toll & do I get my car washed too? Freakin' silly. AND you have to buy it buy the case!!! What if I want an assortment of various 6-pks? Well, I have to buy a CASE of each or nothing! I can't even walk around & browse to see what I want because my car will hold up the 'line' behind me & I can't even buy an assortment of anything unless I buy multiple cases. AND I have to go to 2 diff stores if I want a bottle of wine as well. What a PITA. Next thing you know the so-called 'liquor stores' that don't sell beer are gonna tell me I have to buy a case of wine even if I only want 1 bottle. I haven't asked that question yet only because I feared what the actual answer would be....

When I lived in NC I knew of a drive thru package store. They made a killing selling beer.

I think a drive thru liquor store would be the same. Most people who buy liquor get the same thing every time so they'd know what they want. I personally like to go to the liquor store and shop. I only go about twice a year and I like to look around and see whats new - guess that's the female shopper in me.

Dude I talk about drive through liquor stores like all the time! I would make mine to where all u had to do was swipe your i.d. and get what u want. I just know that they'll be issues to make that legal. But it's not a bad idea

Yep, they are awesome! They have them in Ohio too. I am from Washington state and we tried to own one here and unfortunately due to our state laws, we can't have one. =( The weather here makes it a perfect spot!
