I think that most of society agrees that there are certain things that shouldn't be shown on TV (at least during early hours) because there are things kids shouldn't be exposed to.

Censoring of political, religious, or other ideas or thoughts is always wrong though.

I don't care what words are used on tv to be real honest, I cuss in the right company, but I do NOT want to see sex all over my tv. I'm not into watching nasty sex scenes, it's just not my cup of tea and like that it is censored.

I hate censorship.
I dont have kids yet though, so I can understand why they do it.
There are certain times of the day though when kids should be in school, bed, or elsewhere and let the rest of the population watch anything we want.

Yes...we need appropriate guidelines for T.V and music...the rating system is ok...but television has gotten way out of line...there is no decent programing from the networks...

I don't like censorship of ANY kind. I don't want ANYONE dictating to me what I can and can't see or hear on TV. And as far as children are concerned, PARENTS need to moniter what their children watch - NOT the MPAA, NOT the FCC, NOT the government, not ANYONE else.

Yes it is good. Why would i want kids seeing inappropriate material just b/c parents don't want to do their job & monitor what their kids are watching?

on "free" TV - yes

on pay TV - no

most TVs have parental controls built in, so most of that can be controlled at home.
