Which is an excuse to not become a Christian. Does this mean the door of grace is closing in America?

No.

I don't question the intelligence of an atheist. It is powerful thinking that can lead one both to and from God.

I do not believe atheists are dumb enough to believe that that is what all of Christianity is like.

That was an amazing thing to say! Could God be using an unbeliever to state the truth? And then not save the nonbeliever? We'll see!

Those who are paying attention to the Bible are looking for a few things to happen which are prophesied in the Bible.

1) That there would be a spirit of persecution which reaches it's climax with the Antichrist. The Antichrist will give the world persecution against the Christians who are referred to as "Great Tribulation Christians".

2) About the 'door of grace' closing. It is the Last Days, and we are nearing the End of the Last Days. Those like me are looking for the Great Tribulation to occur, where the church is taken out of the way so that God can tribulate the world with natural disasters and supernatural means.

Okay, Ted Haggard must have been a hypocrite. Is that anything like what Fred Phelps is doing? I don't see that comparable.

i'm offended you place Catholic priests (as a team) interior a similar type as Fred Phelps and Ted Haggard. so which you spot protestant ministers, televangelists as persons (interestingly on account which you do not lump them collectively yet %. out the Phelps and Haggard) not portray all of them with a similar brush as Haggard and Phelps. yet all priests definite. (so neglect the ninety 5% (the self sustaining John J. checklist from CUNY regulation college affixed the pedophile fee of priests at 5%, same by means of fact the final inhabitants) that are dedicated, annoying working, help their communities, and could in no way think of of betraying the believe placed in them) 5% of law enforcement officials abuse people, over 5% of social workers, properly over 5% of instructors, Scout Leaders, team coaches. WHY do not you paint all of them with a similar brush. in case you have mentioned particular names like Geoghan or Shanley (which countless the circumstances you hear approximately have been approximately those 2 adult adult males) then i could have had a foundation for agreeing with you.

Long before Ted Haggard and Fred Phelps emerged from under their respective rocks, the question of the existence of divine beings had arisen.

The behavior of these two troglodytes doesn't really matter.

Maybe he's using Ted Haggard to teach believers to be more accepting to homosexuals.
And Fred Phelps to teach believers to be more tolerant and patient.

Extremes are always useful for people to know what not to become.

Terrance, it sounds as if you are Christian. I'm Jewish. But I'll answer your second question. It certainly does appear as G-d is a bit dissatisfied with the United States now.

As we stray further and further from a belief in G-d, things will get worse and worse in this country until we come back.

I'd suggest that believers in whatever not worry about others, but we each do our best to follow our beliefs.
