my parents used to take me and my sister ice-skating, then we'd go home and have cinnamon toast and hot chocolate. that was always a fun treat!

During the hot summer my brother, sister and I would get in the back of Dad's truck (when that was allowed way back then) and head off to Dairy Queen for ice cream. Such little things were so wonderful.
I also have vivid memories of waking every Sunday morning to the smell of Mom frying bacon.
And then there was playing outside with friends every day until late at night running and biking everywhere.
I could go on forever, I loved my childhood. Thanks for taking me back for a few minutes it was great.

Some of my favorite memories include:
-going tobogganing with friends during the winter time
-going with my grandparents to the local amusement fair every August
-watching the Star Wars movies for the first time

I remember watching my dad play in a band. He played the drums and was the lead singer and I'll never forget the smile he held on his face the entire time out of pure joy. I'll never forget when he played in the downtown Hoedown in Detroit Michigan in front of at least one thousand people. I was about nine years old then.

Even though I'm now in my 60's, I often find myself riding in a car and the weather is cold and grey and I find myself remembering being in a car with my daddy when I was little. I always felt so safe with him. It's a wonderful memory.

My grandpap taking me out on one of those old time sleds(the woodeen ones) when it was really snowy and pulling me up and down the hills,then my grndma would have hot chocolate and cookies waiting at home for us
