I have had my dog for about 10 years and he just sit's around all day and doesn't do anything. I wanna teach him some tricks to spice it up a little.

Im not talking walking on string through a ring of fire, although that would be an awesome trick. Can i teach him to get the paper or maybe fetch me my trousers after a long night of drinking alone.

There are 2 tricks to teach an old dog. They are tride and true. Its usually easier the older they get. Lay Down and Poop on the floor. These two are guaranteed to be taught with minimal effort.

Maybe he's not motivated and needs a day out at a dog park with his owner. Or, he may need a younger owner who would run and play WITH him. Get out there and encourage him, even show him what his master wants. Also, don't let your older dog become too heavy.

It's never too late to teach your friend a trick! It takes time and a reward system that he really responds to. Good luck!

Why is this in the toddler section? It might help to put this question in the pets>dogs section.
